A retired American General basically said the the Russian Army was crap, non professional and full of conscripts. Events so far seem to back this up……

If we had started before the invasion then it would have made the war inevitable and probably have just brought it forward.

Yes he probably was going to invade anyhow but to not give dialogue a chance to succeed would have been a sad state of affairs. Also gave us the moral high ground too as Putin could have used the 'western countries are arming Ukraine' as a legitimate reason to go in.

The man didn’t need a reason, he would have just made one up, as indeed he did. However NATO troops physically in Ukraine (on invited exercises) would have stopped him in his tracks. Moral high ground is irrelevant when cities are being bombed and civilians killed. We lost our bottle and Putin took advantage. Biden even admitted he could take over part of the country. Other than laying out a red carpet there was not much more we could have done to invite him in…….

Its funny meme. Its laughable putin calling it an exercise but if people genuinely believe the Russian troops themselves blowing up buildings and killing Ukrainian troops and civilian fighters -that they think it isn't an invasion/war. I think they have a good .. or bad imagination.
