It has been, by any reasonable definition of "ineffectual". They have been logistical morons, failing to secure adequate supplies for the conduct of a war. They've literally been using cell phones to E.T. phone home, which is both against doctrine and insane.

The gap between how they train and how they fight has been massive, and remains unexplained. It could be a deliberate, cynical decision, the better for NATO to underestimate them later. It could be the result of a lack of munitions and equipment due to corruption diverting procurement funds. It could be due to overconfidence and poor planning. We just don't know.

Well that NYT article said Western observers noted that the trial against Poroshenko was political. Poroshenko is still very popular around Lviv and despite losing heavily in 2019, he's still a threat. That aside, they never assembled an army to invade another country.
Both are now defending their country in a war they can't win.

I've said the other day, from the little I know about VZ, I don't think he's exactly squeaky clean.

But, he's definitely on the right side here. Whataboutaery - which is what it was from Kev - is pointless
