Kev, you seemed noble in the Benitez fiasco, here you are coming across as a Nazi sympathiser.

You are better than this mate. x
I would normally call him a [Poor language removed] of the highest order but I have respect for the moderation team in here so I won’t , I’ve decided not to engage with the bellend instead

Abramovich confirmed his plans to sell in a statement on Wednesday evening and said net proceeds from the sale would be donated to a charitable foundation which would be “for the benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine”. He said he would not be asking for the money he has loaned Chelsea since buying the club in 2003 to be repaid.

It was this section that surprised me…

“I have instructed my team to set up a charitable foundation where all net proceeds from the sale will be donated. The foundation will be for the benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine.”

Firstly, an oligarch close to Putin refers to it as a war rather than a ‘military operation’.

The second part is the foundation set up to benefit all ‘victims’, it leaves it open for the foundation to benefit the families of lost Russian troops who may be perceived as Victims by those in Russia. That’s the cynic in me anyway.

Surprised he hasn’t been sanctioned yet, must be greasing the right palms.

Hope for the best.

1.5 billion loan write-off all good with fair play, presumably

Just watched Newsnight and they had 3 people on who were so called experts on Putin.

I feel a lot better for hearing their opinions and thoughts.

Looks like China are going to have a big say in this in an effort to get a resolve.

Add to that the leaked dissent from within the Russian forces who were not even prepared for this.

The overall opinion is that Putin has dug his own grave with this hostile and barbaric act.

He will hopefully stand trial for this inhumane assault and rightly so.

He will run out of money if this drags on and his ego and state is mind is what has got him into this position according to the experts.

The big question is, do the west stop buying fossil fuels which will stop that flow of money also, as several countries such as Italy are totally dependent on Russian energy.
