Agree and found this a pretty interesting rebuttal too

It's sickening people dismissing what has led to this horror.
No lessons learnt from the lives lost.
Honour the dead on both sides with the only thing many of us can do right now - talk, think, feel with nuance and umderstanding.
This is deeply distressing, as all war is.
The irony and contradiction of dismissing the history and political economy that has lead to - what will be a legacy of trauma through the generations, you know the type, where you see a man's life in devastation, a family ruined and we put it down to alcoholism when it started when his grandfather shot an enemy soldier...who had shot his mate.
To simply wrap this up and put it down to the workings of a madman and his evil and outdated regime before moving onto the next Netflix series would betray the concerns we all feel.
I for one won't be barricking the West on this one.
Thank god we've got the Blues for that - something worthy of cheering on.
