seems a bit mad to centralize all that power along one highway. Take out a few bridges and the whole thing gets snarled up till they get temp. bridges in place. Let them sit burning gas to keep warm and hit their fuel supplies.
I have no idea about this stuff but this sort of convoy seems like a knee-jerk reaction to the resistance their army already faced.

Obviously they will have done their homework on this, they wouldnt be setting up 40m convoy's if they felt the risks were too great.

Ukraine defence minister warns of 'psychological attack'​

As Russia warns of attacks in Kyiv (see previous post), Ukrainian defence minister Oleksiy Reznikov has warned of a possible "psychological attack" by Russia.
Writing on Facebook, he claimed Russia was first planning to disrupt communications.
"After that, there will be a massive distribution of fake news about Ukrainian military-political leadership allegedly agreeing to capitulation," he wrote.
"To substantiate the fake news, they will publish photos of signed documents and a fake video. This is a lie."
He added:

The only issue with a no-fly zone is that you need to enforce it, which means you may need to shoot a plane down. That’s a catalyst for war.

Yeah, my immediate response to that demand by Zelenskyy was, "You're not getting that!" To paraphrase Biden, when American planes start shooting down Russian planes, that's WWIII. Putin knows that, so he would ignore the no-fly zone and dare the Americans to take the shot. Knowing that, Biden never gives the order to impose a no-fly zone in the first place.

No doubt it does go on, and as time passes in a war of attrition, more and more of this will be happening.

Ukraine has been suffering a population decline for many years now as it is.

And Putin is speeding up the decline.

Additionally the Russians haven’t been sending many planes up - maybe because they don’t need to because the Ukraine air presence isn’t really there, or just maybe they don’t want to provoke talk of a no fly zone

As it is the rape charges have been unfounded and should have been dropped but for US interference and UK compliance.
The label still sticks though, doesn't it.
