The thought of this makes me feel sick to my stomach. I know they are used further afield but I think that this would be the end of Putin. He'd have to be removed.Chemical weapons would leave a city standing.

One of them is trying to be edgy and self righteous over our ex manager, and thinks for some reason that makes him a better Evertonian than 99% of the rest of the forum! The other is just coming across as a condescending so and so who thinks he’s the only one that has the inside knowledge of what’s really going on in Ukraine!Him and foreverblurt seem to genuinely believe they are some form of senior forum hierarchy I’m convinced.

Think (well I hope) its a parody ?
Even Putin wouldn't make that claim. Some of these Russians have lived in Ukraine for hundreds of years. To be uprooted like that is just shameful.

to be fair, wasnt Kiev raised to the ground by the Germans - therefore much of its spiritual value in terms of structures was destroyed.Yup. We had brunch with some Polish friends yesterday and the husband said the same. Kiev is of significant spiritual importance to the Russian people as well
The first one offering a tow back to Russia is fantastic
Thats a spy, a lot of nasty stuff going on in spy business, this is open warfare and civilians they apparently coming to "liberate"
I come from a country (Croatia- ex-Yugoslavia) where during the war a lot of terrible things were happening to civilians and whole cities were leveled to ground by both sides, and that was not so long ago
So far Russians seems restrained compared with images i watched during my childhood and stuff i learned in school
in addition to the Syrian crisis, there was now an even more ominous Russian problem. Russia was no longer just an enabler of Syria’s use of chemical weapons, protecting it at the OPCW and the UN Security Council; it was itself a perpetrator, signaling to the world that it still illicitly possessed its own dangerous chemical weapons agent. Moreover, Moscow now viewed the OPCW Technical Secretariat as an adversary. Just a week earlier, as reported by the Dutch government, agents from the Russian military intelligence branch, the GRU, were deported from the Netherlands for attempting to conduct a cyberoperation against OPCW headquarters in The Hague from an adjacent hotel.
