It is akin to asking the paedophile Epstein if he was abusing teens as you believed when he had previously said he wasn't and him saying "no" and then saying to everyone who would listen "see, I told you"

I do hope it's only small localised pockets of the country were such things happen. But it's being used (and twisted out of proportion) as an excuse here.

It's a big $%@#ing mess. I find it all too depressing that this is happening. People are dying and being hurt on an evil man's crazed orders.

It’s terrible for all concerned and yet some that are not seem to be utterly reveling in it, when I say some I mean one person.
 
I wonder what role the democratic processes in the west have contributed towards what is happening. There is lots of talk about Putin being mad, through illness or hubris but he always seemed from the outside to be extremely calculating. There is no Merkel, UK has left EU and might as well be run by the PG Tips monkeys the way things are going. The EU politically at least, has probably never been at a weaker position during his reign.

He probably underestimated the strength of resistance they would meet in Ukraine or the extent that the Russian economy will be hit but it wouldn't be a surprise if he went full tilt on Kiev. Hope not but there is a lot at stake...
