Eventually, The Russian people will turn on Putin.

NATO is now on high alert and coming together. Even the German's have woke up. Finland and Sweden is a absolute game changer in the fact they will solidify and make Putin unhinged. I believe he may be sick as his irrational patterns recently is certainly thought provoking and dangerous.

As this evolves don't be surprised if boots on the ground eventually will be used as you can't deal with a madman that only has a one track mind.
What's needed is for the senior Russian military commanders and chiefs of staff etc to refuse to carry out any orders from Putin... without the military to support him, his powerbase would be dramatically weakened.
If the military refuse his orders, you would hope that the troops will eventually realise and back down themselves, thus bringing hostilities to an end... and Putin gets ousted as a minimum and arrested as the ideal.

Remember Neville Chamberlains interpretation of Adolf. History repeating itself?

Putin did start attacking Ukraine in 2014 after NATO announced they would approve of Ukraine joining.

The hope is surely his plans do not extend beyond Ukraine, and are not based purely in ideology like Hitler's. However I can't see him giving up until Ukraine surrenders ( unfortunately).

He also runs Russia like a gang so what the people think matters not.

I agree with you tbf, but unfortunately as I've said, on the list of likely outcomes that comes near the bottom of the list.

Crikey.

The FA have said no English football teams, at any level, including youth and Para, will play any Russian teams. Until whenever.
Not surprising. I can easily see the Russians kicked out of everything, sporting related.
On a side note. Just read the Chelsea charity have not taken control of them. Some legal stuff they are looking into, like any financial liabilities. Makes me think Abramovich is not going to bankroll them going forward.

Wish FIFA (and UEFA) would do the same to Russia on an international level. Yes, I realize it actually hurts the players (and fans) who likely have their own opinion on this war, and does nothing to end the war, but given that so far it's all been sanctions and symbolic protests, they could certainly impose this ban (along with the IOC) with a strongly worded statement. And it would go a long way toward helping to re-establish FIFA's credibility, of which they currently have none due to all their corruption.

The loony political right in the US has Inspector Clouseau on the job.

HAHAHA. I wonder what Putin would actually think if news sources are reporting that the sole source of his geopolitical decision-making is because he was afraid of a 16yr old girl who talks about the climate getting worse. I say translate this to Russian ASAP.

Its very very muddled at Chelsea. Not got a dog in the fight, but to my untutored eye, he is still the owner. Heaven only knows how it will play out for them, (and us, lets face it).
