The Ukraine offensive has collapsed. The Russians push further west and Ukrainians run even further westwards in their millions. We know most young Ukrainians aren't interested in Ukraine, they want to go to the west as the propaganda has indoctrinated them to. The only way to avoid the second part is to prevent them escaping by holding a gun to their backs.

Russia is moving so far west that it is laying mines in Belgorod.

As for lowering the recruitment age - that’s upto the Ukranian government. As it stands today they believe they can do the job with what they’ve got.

Apparently the Ukrainians have decided that the competence of the Russian military is so bad that they will raise their recruitment age to 65 in order to make it a fair fight……..
 
This us all a bit juvenile and unseemly for all concerned.

There are hundreds of thousands killed in this war already and this lot are swapping meme insults on twitter.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s parliament and its speaker taunted billionaire Elon Musk on Monday after he posted a meme on his social media platform mocking the president Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s pleas for wartime assistance from the West.

Musk owns SpaceX, which provides Starlink satellite communication services that are vital for Ukraine’s defence effort, but his statements have sometimes angered Kyiv since the full-scale invasion launched by Russia in February last year, according to Reuters.

Early on Monday, Musk posted a meme on his platform X, formerly known as Twitter, showing Zelenskiy and the caption:

When it’s been 5 minutes and you haven’t asked for a billion dollars in aid.
The speaker of Ukraine’s parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, hit out at Musk’s jibe with his own post on X.

In an apparent reference to SpaceX’s failed rocket launch in April, he said:

The case when …[Elon Musk] tried to conquer space, but something went wrong and in 5 minutes he was up to his eyeballs in [Poor language removed].
Ukraine’s parliament, on its official page on X, accused Musk of spreading Russian propaganda, posting its own version of the meme with a picture of Musk and the caption:

When it’s been 5 minutes and you haven’t spread Russian propaganda.

I say again: imagine being that age in Ukraine and getting sent to the front. We in this country now look back with horror on the so called pals brigades of young men sent to the front in WWI and who were mown down having had no time to live life.

Well the same goes for those lads in Ukraine and Russia. Imagine dying for a clown like Zelensky or a thug like Putin.

FFS, all power to them legging it over the border.

If our grand parents had run away the works would be a very different place. Many , many young men signed up willingly, same as ukes.

You’re doing your usual and making out this is z’s fault - it isn’t

These men are defending their lands and families.

Lets analyse that statement

1939. Britain relegated to defense only. The Spitfire and Hurricane produced by Private British money, because the British Government was going to invest in "reasoning" with Adolf.

1941. Britain is handed 4 aces, when Japan plays it's Pearl Harbor hand as Roosevelt conveniently is allegedly 'blissfully unaware' that Japan might attack the U.S. fleet closest to Japan.

So, per Britain's "Rules Based Order" others are assigned to die in a bloody meat grinder as Britain does the Minimum Necessary since after the millions of unnecessary deaths from the previous 2 World Wars, neither the Island nor the once-eager Colonies have young lives available for the slaughter.
Maybe Britain could re-assess that they will never, ever win in Crimea. Stick with Banking, Insurance and Tourism and stop looking for trouble for no reason and lecturing others for being 'casualty averse'.

If you were faced with going to the front you'd be shaking like a defecating dog mate.

To actively want kids - and that's all they are at 18 and 19 - to go and throw themselves into a meat grinder is a terrible thing to want.

If older men from their mid-to-late-20s onward want to fight for their country then ok, let them do it. They've had at least some time to live a little.
