He was effectively pushed out of position by Biden’s snub for the role of NATO sec Gen for being too hawkish and having a big gob. It’s obvious now that he feels the need (like so many former high-ranking military commanders) to “be heard and noticed”.

A lot of military folks liked him as they thought he was on their level, but at the end of the day he is purely self-serving as are most politicians.

You banged on about his comments that indicated Ukraine should look at reducing its minimum recruitment age.

However for the sake of balance you conveniently forgot to mention that Russias minimum age for mobilised recruitment is currently 18.

You see you left out the bit about Russias stealth recruitment policy in your amended quote.
