I said 'if we wanted a peaceful Ukraine tilting towards us we have screwed it up'. One way we can be argued to have screwed it up is by being provocative in the region. I have said nothing about Putin. He's a dangerous, authoritarian megalomaniac. However, he's also carrying out a geo-political agenda that has been Russian policy for centuries. What he has done should be a surprise to no-one. It's something most Western foreign policy eggheads should have predicted. At least it's not totally out of character that Russia feels threatened by a Western backed Ukraine. If I know this some foreign policy graduate from Harvard should also have known it.

It’s quite a simple playbook, export Russian speakers, form areas, send in troops to ‘protect’ them. Ukraine, Moldova etc etc …..

Straight from the Stalin play book also. This is literally how some parts of Ukraine have Russian speakers in the first place! Ol' Vlad needs to get some fresh ideas.

Ok, so Putin walks in takes over Crimea in 2014 and we just watch in awe and play the Neville Chamberlain card. Except we knew how the megalomanic works with his smooth words. We wait and prepare fully knowing Putin and his crony's appetite needs to be satisfied. He wanted total devastation of Ukraine Denazified it with his Z Squad (not z-cars). Multination's all come to the conclusion he won't stop. Moldovia, Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe would be next in the crosshairs.

"WAR IS HELL" Putin is slowly finding out he isn't safe anymore. Why has he murdered a many of his roundtable confidants and close associates. Peace is admirable but blaming the West is foolhardy and out of touch at best.

Possible game changing situation developing just south of the village of Pyatikhatka in Zaporizhia Oblast.

The Ukes captured it over the weekend and now the talk on-line us that Russia has committed a divisional sized force (possibly its reserve force) in an attempt to re-capture the area.

Problem is a divisional sized force has a lot of heavy equipment, vehicles and logistics. They’re currently trying to move them into position in columns, but these columns are running into minefields laid by the Russians themselves!

The result is carnage and the Ukes are picking them off with ATGM’s. It would appear that the Ruskis are getting a real hiding.
