Yes mate 100% rife prior to me leaving. Mid 2000s never had the issue. However things changed as people seen it was dead easy to go to sickbay and say am stressed and can’t cope. Doctors couldn’t risk it and would sign lads off for weeks.

I think we all deride some of the less palatable aspects of the EU and its organisations - but these people are desperate to cross a border into any EU country because they know simply being 1 foot within the EU/NATO umbrella ensures their safety. How have we failed to give Ukraine this security.

Thought you had all the shrinks all over you on the boats.
I tried and failed to get onto them myself.
Completed the academic stuff and SETT was out of action.
Then I bloody failed the pressure pots having done the courses once SETT was back up and running.
Fuming I was.. as you lot had cars like Deli Alli !

We, in general, with our relatively cushy lives, have more to "lose" than the average Russian and we are more likely to blame/punish our own governments/leaders for our inconveniences than Putin.

This is what that POS is counting on and he is quite likely to get the result he wants based on reactions so far.

Conscription wouldn't be the solution.

Many people would sign up to fight in such a war, but the Government would not be forcing people to fight.

Conscription wouldn’t happen because we wouldn’t be fighting Russia on British soil. They even tried to invade they would lose bad. Just like if we tried to invade Russia we would lose bad same as if we put boots on the ground in Ukraine we would lose bad.

That’s why the best option is for NATO to send troops and equipment to the NATO country’s in the region. so we would be ready to fight if Russia try to go further. It would also be a fight to push Russia back and beat them taking more land. No one is going to start bombing Moscow even if they are at war with NATO no nuclear powers land will be touched the fighting would all happen in Eastern Europe and Russia would lose and retreat back to the motherland.

I agree with @Bruce Wayne the sanctions are laughable, nobody's prepared to hurt themselves for Ukraine. This is what Putin has been banking on. We should've cut them off swift & lived with the consequences. If they cut of the gassupply, so be it: he doesn't get his petro-billions for natural gas and he runs out of money before the summer ends. It's the only talk he'll understand. (same counts for China in my opinion)

Somebody I know at the European Commission reports lobbyists (diamond& agriculturalsectors for instance) are already swarming MP's & commisioners to ease restrictions. We're 15 hours after announcing sanctions... Nobody cares.

Nah no shrinks mate.

Haha the extra money was nice. I used to love going to a foreign port next to a skimmer and you lot would have to stay on the ship and we would be in a 5 star hotel haha.

Gutted you never got to do SETT. I’d never want to experience it ever again but happy I got to do all the pressurised descents lol. Scary scary stuff.

I disagree a lot with this - most people will accept negative change for the right reasons; the ones who refuse to accept that change are the creatures who’ve been enriching themselves with his money.

Flat other than the Carpathians in the far west on the borders of Romania/Slovakia. Useless for defence.
