https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/ukraine-3d-map-77a62b26e37246f5b5f10228b6e9ef3eWhat’s most of the terrain like in Ukraine? It’s a massive amount of land but outside the cities is it mainly fields, mountains or what?
It's not symbolic. We've doubled our troops in the last week albeit it's still not huge. The crux of it however is they're NATO troops and from UK/US.Is that an actual realistic amount though or a symbolic movement? I think the nominal Nato presence in Estonia is about 1,500 personnel, for instance, which wouldn't be able to do a great deal. How is that being changed?
That’s a pretty cool app/site.
At least I know where to hide now if I ever get called up lolThat’s a pretty cool app/site.
Thanks for that
If it wasn’t so tragic you’d have to laugh.
Whilst Putins forces are rampaging thru Ukraine with certain victory not too far away, senile ‘smirking’ Joe and Blundering Boris are still talking about sanctions against Putin and his supporters… Putin is laughing in their faces.
The west have done nothing to stop Putin.
Meanwhile the Russkies are still allowed to compete in the Winter Olympics and Paralympics… cheating whilst they do so too.
Russia is the worlds super power! They do what they want, when they want.

You'll forgive me for not being entirely optimistic about that. Heaven knows, our own prime minister has shown that international treaties are scarcely worth the paper they're written on. The same fears will still exist about tackling a single-minded, nuclear-armed foe in order to defend a country we don't have much to do with. I mean there were international treaties to defend Czech and Poland in the war but they didn't amount to much.@edge sorry, you're correct - Poland is now over the 2% mark.

Any attack on those states and our troops is casus belli - e.g. war. @BlueToff he doesn't want a nuclear conflict.

God damn you Putin. You power hungry imperialst. Let them have Ukraine. Do you not have enough?
I admire your faith or trust in the inherent goodness of people. It's not that I don't share much of the same but, at this moment in time, given the evidence we have I'm not at all sure Americans (or Europeans) are all that willing to sacrifice much for Ukraine.I disagree a lot with this - most people will accept negative change for the right reasons; the ones who refuse to accept that change are the creatures who’ve been enriching themselves with his money.
If they’re not defended, NATO ceases to exists. That’s too big a price in itself. You'll forgive me for not being entirely optimistic about that.
