If Russia is prepared to not produce at less than market price, does that actually push market price up and keep the money rolling in?

Or if Russia produces at that market cap does that depress all oil prices? Who'd buy at over $60 if they could grab a bargain Russian barrel?

A very tricky one to predict how it plays out. The fact that they pulled back from this last time makes me think it's a risky ploy. I have read that it's a push to force the Russians to the negotiating table.

Got to feel for him and his country, been useful in ramping up the old war machine for the weapons that has tied Ukraine up in sorts of contracts to pay for generations to come..Now Zelensky sees the writing on the all as he senses the big compromise coming, swathes more of Ukraine officially becoming Russian.
Russia and the West can rub their hands with glee, remains to be seen who is the winner.

Likely to rise initially I’d say mate, just because the West decide to cap Russia oil, doesn’t mean they have to sell at that price, which means there will be further pressure on other supply. Russia will look to the east for sales or use the dark fleet.

Opec will likely stand with Russia as far as its safe to keep production as it is and the price may go up over the Xmas, would be my take.

Looks like Ukraine launched successful deep strikes on Russian strategic bomber bases deep inside Russian territory (Engels and Ryazan).

From the footage shown you can hear the sound of something passing overhead moments before the impact and explosion at Engels airbase. Looks like the Ukes have cobbled together a deep-strike cruise missile, launch platform unknown at this stage.

Reports of multiple Russian TU-95 bombers destroyed.
