He's been dry humped for months and there's no sign of any small victory on the horizon.

If you wield power through force and threat, once you're made to look weak and ineffectual, it's just a matter of time before you're gone. Add into that his age, and the need to return to the international fold to some degree then I think a change could happen over a fairly short timeline.
Having said that if the conflict freezes over winter and Russia hunkers down and ensures a grip of the land corridor to Crimea and large swathes of the Donbass, and keeps hitting Ukrainian infrastructure, he could be grinning his botox grin again come spring.
It certainly feels like the Russian people are now learing the truth behind his special operation and the calamity it has become.
Something has to give, what is Putins next move? It looks like he has conceded in many areas, something which was unthinkable a few months ago.
I bet he is desperate for a way out.
I am not sure the UA are gonna sit back at any time soon, winter or no winter.

Indeed. And it won't drop below freezing for a couple of weeks so there's still time to carry on making quick headway. It might be a harder slog after that but I don't see any appetite in the Russian forces to take advantage of winter.

They will run the Russian Forces all the way back to Crimea. Then Spring we will see a regrouping from both sides. Russia is still in a disbelief mode as is its allies as to the context of the War. No cease fire will happen until UA completes its ultimate task with or without the West's help as they have given and sacrificed too much blood. Putin fears assassination whether from within or external as reports surface. This Special Operation has asked many questions for NATO and the US both have now started to be aggressive in newer technology to combat what has played out in Ukraine. Putin or whomever comes behind him will never be treated equally in any passive manner they have shown their true colours. Awareness, and not deception maybe the only asset to the free World from all this despair and heartache.
