Although they were not in the forces all at once.
The British Isles provided 5 million, at its peak there were just under 2.6 . In the army for comparison.
Both had very big affect on the outcome, don't forget the army wasn't just stopping the UK getting invaded it was also the commonwealth that was under attack as well, it was beneficial to them all.

I should have been more clear that Britain faced a genuine threat of invasion and being forced to fight the war in exile for about 6 months in 1940

A critical point has arrived when the narrative from the west has glaringly obviously overtaken that from the east in being the truth.

I suspect that there will be a lot of Russians having to open their eyes to what is really happening now.
