Not sure that is the right way that was framed - he wants a better partnership with Russia, not simply more "involvement" in his country. That was what his point about the collapse of the Soviet Union was about, that their voice (the small republics) were ignored whilst someone else took decisions that they had to live with.

He isn't wrong either - trying to play global politics whilst those in the backyard have another (in some cases multiple) options to look elsewhere is quite a big bit of what caused this mess, after all.

I'm sure that after everything dies down in the Ukraine we will see the full weight of Europe and the US and other allies thrown behind supporting militarily and economically the Palestinian right to not have it's land occupied and it's civilian population murdered on a daily basis.

To not do so would in essence make everything said about the reasons for supporting Ukraine a lie really wouldn't it?

I must admit I did find out quite a bit. Like air defence missiles will explode on the ground and leave craters and that they can cause damage to buildings - I suppose collateral damage.

Let’s keep it real. For future reference:

SAM’s = Small, shallow craters and minor structural damage.

Cruise & Ballistic missiles = Large , deep craters and major structural damage.

I agree with your reasoning here however, it seems Israel have more influence where it matters than Russia. No one dares criticise them. The tide is slowly turning though
