I do question how accurate/reliable these figures are, but this is where I suspect sanctions will play a part as many reports talk about depleted PGMs.

If they've only got 1/3 of their stock left and are struggling to replenish them, it would explain why they've limited their use, bar a few glutinous days.

Russian will have a minimum they've got to keep available, or at least you'd suspect so, as it is common practice in any military of any standing.*

Planners would be reckless to let their stocks get below 1/4 as they will need to be thinking long-term - this war, and beyond. This will help Ukraine's a lot.

Not sure they have any competency in that department from what we have witnessed to date.

There has been plenty of discussion about Russias reliance on component parts to replenish its stock and sanctions targeting these so would make sense if they are running low.

Hopefully something with give soon as these thousands of lives being lost and ruined for absolutley no reason whatsoever is a top tier disaster.
