Missed that mate. What was he asked? China has literally trillions of dollars hold over the US.

the question was something like whether the US had spoken to China about whether they'd support Russia ... to which he said he couldn't answer that at this time, which sounded a bit weird as I think everyone assumed they'd be who he (edit: Putin) would be selling his gas to

I don't want to blame Trump only because a lot has been happening for a long time but he certainly didn't help
He publicly said he did not want American troops fighting other wars, was down on nato and sucked China and Russia off. If they (America) want to play world police, then they have to stay on duty. Trumps wimpy overseas policies just emboldened both communist powers. Now he’s criticising Biden for his handling of the situation

I agree, he was bad, but other things have happened that matter even going back to Obama

My concern is that in spite of political changes, China remains an ally of Russia. This is why NATO is hopeless in terms of getting involved.

Any military action would bring disaster.

I really feel for Ukraine, but who is next? The Baltic States, Poland, the former Eastern Bloc countries?

I see the "We're all gonna die" brigade have logged on early tonight.

The great thing about nuclear weapons is the mutually assured destruction. You'd have to be suicidal or completely indifferent to the fate of your people to launch a nuke at anybody, anywhere.
There won't be nuclear war. The cost of doing it is too high. It's not like it's a strategic attack, millions die when someone pushes that button. It would take a desperate leader with no other option to commit millions , both in and out of their country to death.

It's a great deterrent , nobody ever would want to tempt a country either.

Who controls the nukes in Ukraine?
