Unless Sleepy Joe announces the deployment of US troops in large numbers as part of a wider NATO task force entering Ukraine, nothing he says is going to make any difference to Putin.

You do wonder what developments are taking place around the world in military and espionage settings... Thinking of things like submarines going completely dark / silent and getting into position to escalate matters, or intelligence agents making key individuals disappear. Horrible prospects, but when faced with tyranny what other choice is there?

Normally, I am grateful for the First Amendment and the absence of sedition laws. Right now, part of me wishes that these statements were at least probable cause for an exhaustive investigation into Bannon's financial transactions. The grounds would be suspicion of treason during Bannon's period in the White House.

Hey Finners, if memory serves your lovely country is not a member of NATO... Is there any change in Suomi public opinion on this topic, given the events of the last few days?

Its obviously much more on the table than earlier but the official strategy is that such a process takes time and it should be given the time needed. No half jerk reactions now, it wont change the current situation and could just destabilise it even more. I agree.
I personally was against NATO, that opinion has now changed. I thought we could peacefully co-exist with Russia however I now believe that was naive of me, the cossack will take what isnt bolted on....

Is there any danger Aeroflot would try and land in UK despite the ban. They are very much Government controlled. I flew with them in 92 and it was clear the staff were ex military. That includes the cabin staff!!

You may be right. Reading/listening to stuff this afternoon, it seems to me that maybe Putin has misread the room. As in, his antideluvian wish for a return to the USSR empire, isnt shared by the Russian public, and more importantly, maybe Russian military leaders.

Hope I am a bit right.
