If Putin pulls Russian troops out, what will happen to those in the Donbass, the Kherson region and the Zaporizhzhia region that voted to join Russia?

Maybe the answer is in here somewhere.

How Ukrainians are taking revenge on Russian collaborators

Not if mad Vlad starts throwing nukes around in Ukraine, as he keeps threatening to do.

Given Russia's long derpy history of trying to invade Finland, and the shameful atrocities committed against Poles, Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians by Russian troops in WW2, I can see exactly why those countries are not interested in trusting anything Putin says about his intentions towards them - he was still insisting that he had no intention of invading Ukraine the day before he ordered 150,000 troops into Ukraine.
So as it stands at the moment with Russian troops being pushed back on all fronts. Finland and Sweden are in real danger? And if Putin does go nuclear being in NATO will keep the wind blowing in an easterly direction?

Firstly, there were 2 Englishmen captured in Mariupol amongst other foreign mercenaries.

Secondly, most of those soldiers that took Mariupol were from the Donbass People's Militia, mostly Donetsk, with Chechan support fighters.
Aiden what's his face and the other chap? Both enlisted in the Ukrainian army in 2015 or 2016 iirc. Both married to Ukrainian women, both living in Ukraine.

If THAT'S your definition of "foreign mercenaries", then every Russian in Russian uniform fighting for Russia is a mercenary too.

As to your other point: Chechens and the Russian troops in the Donbass at the start of the invasion are, by definition, not the "Dad's army" currently being forcibly mobilised across Russia. Glad we agree on that.

You obviously missed the US Lease Lend.

Your clue is in the two words. Lease and Lend.
"lend or lease". But not selling. Just guessing that will be on favourable terms (not like the lend lease when UK stood alone against Germany and US mafe sure they wouldn't lose if we did by taking over UK assets, patents, bus inesses in US. Took until Gordon Brown was chancellor to pay the money back.

Why do Sweden and Finland need to wait to be attacked in order to seek membership of a military alliance designed to dissuade and prevent attacks on its members?

In fact, isn't waiting until AFTER you've been attacked a bit silly?

PS staying out of NATO won't stop the wind blowing west, to adopt your analogy.

More good news for those on the Crimea, the bridge is up and running.

"According to the Minister of Emergency Situations, vehicles with a carrying capacity of 3.5 tons are currently passing through the bridge. As renovations progress, this number will increase.
Cars are now passed in portions - now 60 pieces at a time. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow they will let 100 passes.

Tourists are also asked not to use the Crimean Bridge unnecessarily so as not to create unnecessary congestion and traffic jams during repair work and restructuring of the bridge for the duration of the repair".
"Tourists are asked not to use the Crimean Bridge"

LOOOOOOOOOL

So not telling Zelensky that Russia wasn't going to invade is bad then. I bet you'd have shouted from the rooftops that the Allies are coming to France to liberate it from the Nazi's.

I'm confused.

You've criticised the Ukr government for not accepting a ceasefire that involved them ceding the Donbass and Crimea, and staying out of NATO. But now you deny advocating that they should cede the Donbass and Crimea, and stay out of NATO.

So you don't advocate them ceding these territories, but also criticise them for failing to do so. That seems perfectly logical.
Show me where I've criticised anyone? Well spadge for being a moron but he doesn't count ? It was clearly stated that at one time there were serious ceasefire negotiations going on through the Turks, they failed for reasons unspecified. So it looks like a game of nuclear chicken. Let's see who blinks first.

Hopefully he will work that out. Perhaps he will.
