First combined arms commander of the air force in Russian history, when he took over command in Syria there was a very quick change in tactics/performance as well.

Can guarantee one thing, any reports not getting passed up as written on the ground to him will see the senior officers responsible in serious trouble. Got a reputation as someone who has no time for bullsh*t.

I'd expect to see a lot more cohesion and coordination in operations going forwards.

Question though is can a change in command at this juncture change 'that' much. It's an operational change that given his reputation likely would have caused problems had it happened under the guise of a smo alone.
