Kosovo declared independence unilaterally in 2008, but much of the world (including all the BRICS) never recognised it.

For the Serbs to recognize these annexations now would make their stance over Kosovo much less effective.

If "give up" means "enters into serious negotiations" then yes. Is it at all likely that even with further extensive supplies from the West (and I think that is doubtful for much of Europe and for us here, if perhaps not for the Yanks) they would be able to retake Kherson or Zaporizhia? The DPR / LPR? Crimea?

At some point all wars end, usually with a negotiated peace. This is no exception and talks must take place urgently.

Well then how about you talk to your buddy Putin about actually doing that? And if he waits too long he will miss the opportunity.

That rifle was 20+ years old when WWI broke out. It was a relative antique by WWII standards.
I mean, it’s supposedly a very capable rifle, but I imagine not really practical for the modern battlefield. Someone with better knowledge of these things could say better than me.

Depends how widespread and accurate the pictures are, but between this and the rusted assault rifles posted yesterday, it looks pretty grim for the new batch of Russian recruits doesn’t it?
