The L.C.A.B. / THT Transfer Window Thread ....

Think about it sensibly. Everton's wage to turn over was 62% last year.

That left 38% of turnover not used on wages. There has been an increase in turnover, but also an increase in wages to match it (new contracts).

Hence a tight budget.

That doesn't mean that wages cannot be afforded of players on contract now. That would imply that there's been a jump of >38% of wage:turnover in one summer. Which is nonsense since we know their was no new MAJOR SIGNINGS on huge wages and that Arteta remains the highest earner at the club!

To say otherwise would be seriously misguided - not only that but it's demeaning to the club EFC - including me you everyone connected to it - especially if not true. Which it isn't

By all means have a go at Kenwright for lack of a transfer budget. But please don't circulate wild rumour.

Nelson , lid .

well I put the kids to bed & missed that, see you at 33,333

or was that a hint ?

Michael Nelson , Norwich defender?

Mbokani - get he wants to come, push the work permit guys or appeal.

That would leave me happy.

Obviously we have our own rules regarding the work permits, but if he is already playing in an e.u. country and has a work permit for there then why is he not eligible for a work permit here ?

Easy now, I was only told this yesterday and I thought it was probably rubbish. I didn't state it as a fact, dude.

Glad to be told it's bollocks.

Hits head on desk , HARD ...

Bangs desk with fists . Repeatedly ,....

I got told , It's DEAD .

Thus , until I hear otherwise ; It's DEAD , lid .

Matters not why , kid .

My questions were more just my inner monologue of frustration, voiced. Less aimed at your shiny self.

Although considering the thread title, maybe I should keep my questions less rhetorical :P

Cheers as ever, big man.

Some have said that they wouldn't be surprised if a 'name' went, and if it's a case of getting a big earner off the books then what about Mikel ?
There were whispers of yearning for home before, what would Mikel fetch ? he's hardly lighting the place up these days, maybe it's wanting to go home thats doing it.

I know mate. But the thing is - you say it on here... in writing and SOME take it as fact.

The snides then use THE UNTRUE RUMOUR AS FACT ... then the "rumour" takes a life of it's own on.

Just saying mate.

I have to say this is an excellent thread that sums up why GOT is one of the best forums: genuine information being shared among Evertonians without the bull**** windups that fill other forums every transfer window. Good work people.

Because work permit's are decided at a NATIONAL LEVEL not EU level for non-EU immigrants.
