Obviously we have our own rules regarding the work permits, but if he is already playing in an e.u. country and has a work permit for there then why is he not eligible for a work permit here ?

How were WHU able to get one for Obinna and they told us to do one, he certainly didnt play that many more international games.

I would have liked to have seen Gueye, Baxter and Duffy given more opportunity to become integrated into the squad. If we had to call on them in an emergency now it could break them. If there was a strategy to let the likes of Yak go in order to bring kids through, I could understand it more.

With regards to finances, surely be could borrow against that future income? As it stands we're in real danger of getting sucked into the relegation fight. It's worth speculating a little to ensure our Premiership future.

In regard to finances and speculating I would say its a big no-no but Matt Damons the one I trust in regard to the clubs current finances on this forum. As a business rule I would suggest speculating to gain is not a good idea, my thoughts go straight towards Leeds United on this one.

I would have loved to see any of the young players mentioned given a run, but like you said its probably not the right time do be throwing them in, I just hope any players that do leave are at the very least replaced in the short term by loan players, with the hope that the young players can come thru next year or funds are found to replace them in the summer.

Suprisingly, Im actually very upbeat on the toffees at the minute, I actually think we have a decent chance of a cup run and climbing the league the second half of the season, we tend to be stronger in the second part of the season and the likes of Arteta, Jags and Rodwell could still find form, it looks like Felli and Saha already have, throw in a sprinkling of the likes of Coleman, Baines and Cahill when he gets back and its not all doom and gloom, but I always have been an optimist

I know mate. But the thing is - you say it on here... in writing and SOME take it as fact.

The snides then use THE UNTRUE RUMOUR AS FACT ... then the "rumour" takes a life of it's own on.

Just saying mate.

It was more regarding work permits for any potentials that are over the waters, the e.u. must be pretty laxd imo. Have these players never heard of Sangatte ?

Id be all over Adam for the Heit to be honest.

Ill call this one early, superb footballer.

I just dont know what Adam would add to the team that out squad doesnt have.

And Blackpool want more than we have to be fair.

And to be honest....I'd rather he stayed at Blackpool. They deserve to keep the same team till the end of the season and stay in the league, will be harsh to take their best player.

They were speculating on getting into the Champions League though. We would be getting credit on guaranteed income. It would make more financial sense to spend around £3m to ensure that we pull away from the bottom rather than sitting tight and going down.

Was it last season that Moyes was saying that the players were asking for more competition. It had seemed that we were in the position to create competition for places. That seems to have changed very quickly.

We do prosper in adversity. As with giving goals away in games, I wish we'd do things the easy way for once.

Financial Fair Play regs coming in. Speculating like that... those days are over.

Hes quality mate, his distribution and vision is excellent, hes a playmaker and would be one of our most creative players, ive no doubht he would quickly become one of our best players. I think he could be moulded in to an inside left which bascily what Pienaar is, although we would miss Pienaars pace he is by far a more effective creative player.

It does seem like he'd cost more than we could afford. With Liverpool, Blackburn and Villa in the hunt for him, we probably wouldn't get a sniff anyway.

Shaun 'wouldnt get into my sunday league team' Wright Phillips seems to a name gong to be leaving Citeh...

Any bets?
