Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

He's weathered the storm of having his team sold on him practically.

To do that and rebuild in such a short period of time is eye-catching.

Imagine what he could do here with no such worries and even the prospect of adding to his squad each season?

If we have owners with ambition he'll be ours, because Iraola is the famed Goldilocks manager for us: not successful enough to get a top end CL club; too high a quality for the club he's at and any other average PL club.

He's right in our zone.
Looks and sounds like the man Spurs will jump for now.

Then again I could see them going for alonso.

Yet still beneath us in the table with us having one of the worst home records in living memory.
The guy would be hounded out at his first bad spell which will come.
All these so called hip managers from last season all beneath us. Wonder why that is.
Our squad is quite a lot better than theirs imo, except full backs and maybe up front.

No guarantee that will happen Matty, but it would be a start to watch exciting attacking football instead of the utter crap being served up especially at home this season.
That may come once we have the players. We don't know the plan. According to Moyes he was shocked at how many players turned us down in the summer. Finish higher this season and some might then come. It's all about improving.

That seems like quite a simplistic measure of how good a manager is though, no? Are we saying Moyes must be a worse manager than Keith Andrews, because we're below Brentford? And he's currently better than Marco Silva because we're above Fulham, but Silva might be better in 6 hours time if they win and go above us?

He is a very good example of what we want as a fanbase..

14 goals more scored
15 goals more conceded

Definitely more active, front foot edge of the seat football.

But you would have no nails left by the end of the game..

Who is the Manager that slips in between those 2 brackets.

Remember he lost 3/4 of his defence. And they went for big money to RS, PSG & Madrid in part to his excellent coaching.

Look at the CB at 18 and Kroupi & now Rayan who hes brought in. The man is keen to develop young players.

With us, someone like him could build a young squad to challenge.

I know he’s hated on here but I’d have Mourinho in a second. Sure he’d torch the place but doesn’t it need it?

If we were in the conference league with him at the helm I’d expect us to win it. At the moment I’d only hope we might, that’s the difference.

I just want the trophy drought to end and tbh if he came in and we had three wild years and he left us back in mid table but with a trophy in the closet I’d take it. He’d also go to absolute war against the kopites instead of paying reverence to them like half our managers do.

Keith Andrews is exactly my point. He is this seasons hip manager. I am saying give these flavour of the month managers more than a season or 2 to prove themselves. They are not doing too well this season yet according to some we are doing bad enough to replace our manager and want to take someone that is currently not doing as well as us. It's baffling to say the least.

He doesn't bring in the players, the recruitment team do, who will still be there once he leaves.

I like the bloke, but there is a lot of different caveats between both clubs.

I mean you'll never know unless you try, but you can't discount the running of these clubs when looking at the coach..

He fits there mould.

Because it's Bournemouth and he will get as long as he wants.
He will get 10 minutes here like all the others before he is hounded out.
Like it or not that is the fan base we have.

So how does he compare to Moyes with what you say ?
