Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Bullet dodged.

I don't want someone who has made a crap team better, I want a proven trophy winner at a decent level club from a top league in europe.
Objectively, look at managers around the Premier League/World Footy. You kind of need lightning in a bottle to be a succesful one. Man U, Chelsea, Spurs, Real Madrid, they all have the pick of pretty much any manager they would want and they have all failed pretty spectacularly.

Let's hope they are Davek. Moyes has done his part and he's done it well by and large but the next level we're striving for (you don't build a stadium like ours to be content with mid-table) we need a manager who will work with our players and not play players out of position to shoehorn in his favourites. And no past their sell buy date managers like Mourinho

Moyes and this stadium: it's like giving donkeys strawberries.

Yes.

He'd be brilliant here.

Loads of pacy football and a never say die attitude. He'd bring our crop of talented younger players through quickly too.

He'd be ideal, but I'm getting to the stage of ABD - Anyone But the Dinosaur.

He is a very good example of what we want as a fanbase..

14 goals more scored
15 goals more conceded

Definitely more active, front foot edge of the seat football.

But you would have no nails left by the end of the game..

Who is the Manager that slips in between those 2 brackets.

Yet still beneath us in the table with us having one of the worst home records in living memory.
The guy would be hounded out at his first bad spell which will come.
All these so called hip managers from last season all beneath us. Wonder why that is.

He's weathered the storm of having his team sold on him practically.

To do that and rebuild in such a short period of time is eye-catching.

Imagine what he could do here with no such worries and even the prospect of adding to his squad each season?

If we have owners with ambition he'll be ours, because Iraola is the famed Goldilocks manager for us: not successful enough to get a top end CL club; too high a quality for the club he's at and any other average PL club.

He's right in our zone.

well said. people harbor for these “flowing goals football”

and these go to bigger clubs

and fall apart

how do we know a new man will make
HDS a fortress?

Nah, they'll probably finish above us in a season they started after a summer with a first team fire sale then selling Semenyo last month.

He's not a tippy tippy manager. He'd wow our lot.
