Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

just more of the same, no thanks
if you look at newcastle's home record in the league this season

they have played 13 games and have been the better side in 12 of them based on xg, the only team they weren't better than at home was against
Arsenal, they were better than Man City and Chelsea at home, two sides we haven't even played yet at home this season

in comparison, if you look at our home record in the league this season

we have played 13 games and have been the better side in 6 of them based on xg

i think under howe we would play so much better at home and we would still put in decent performances away from home

Not sure we have that draw been honest.
Like who ?
Right now I'd agree which is why you let Moyes see out his contract. Improvement this season and a smaller improvement next season puts us right back up there with being a decent draw for a good coach.

Who knows who it could be. It could in fact be Moyes himself if he were to improve us to a level that wins a trophy. I don't think he's keen to extend though due to his age.

Bullet dodged.

I don't want someone who has made a crap team better, I want a proven trophy winner at a decent level club from a top league in europe.
I want someone who plays attacking high press direct on the deck footy, that also knows how and when to make subs and how and when to switch from attacking to protecting a lead/point. Bonus if they take all cup competitions seriously.

The success will come if we have that, and the fans will love it.

And one to cross off after proving he was out of his league at a bigger club.

It's a fact of life some managers will never be any good above the likes of Fulham, Brentford and Bournmouth like clubs. They have their ceiling.
Frank was always a strange fit at Spurs. Stylistically, he'd have been better suited to us than them. Not saying he would have been great here, you never know how things will pan out, but I think it was destined to fail at Spurs from the outset.

Howe isn't good enough I'm afraid, I watched a Newcastle forum thing as I was curious what they thought of him and let's just say they weren't flattering him with praise
