Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Bullet dodged.

I don't want someone who has made a crap team better, I want a proven trophy winner at a decent level club from a top league in europe.
Not fussed with the trophy winner part I just want a manager who has us playing quicker than snail pace and who doesn't think negatively first in his tactical thoughts

The alternatives to Moyes are piling up with compensation not an issue for most of them.

TFG need to be as ruthless as they have been at Roma.
Dave they are out of work because they've failed or no-one else wants them.

We need to be paying compo for a top class coach going forward. I can't see any in the PL to be honest.

I want someone who plays attacking high press direct on the deck footy, that also knows how and when to make subs and how and when to switch from attacking to protecting a lead/point. Bonus if they take all cup competitions seriously.

The success will come if we have that, and the fans will love it.
I’m starting to wonder if this is something they actively coach out of managers when they do their badges? ā€œDon’t worry about it, focus on the players on the pitch… etcā€

Certainly a massive failing with our choices in the last thirty years.

Let's hope they are Davek. Moyes has done his part and he's done it well by and large but the next level we're striving for (you don't build a stadium like ours to be content with mid-table) we need a manager who will work with our players and not play players out of position to shoehorn in his favourites. And no past their sell buy date managers like Mourinho

Paulo Fonseca has built a significant reputation as a "brave" manager when it comes to youth. His track record shows he isn't just willing to play young players; he often makes them the centerpiece of his tactical projects.

if you look at newcastle's home record in the league this season

they have played 13 games and have been the better side in 12 of them based on xg, the only team they weren't better than at home was against
Arsenal, they were better than Man City and Chelsea at home, two sides we haven't even played yet at home this season

in comparison, if you look at our home record in the league this season

we have played 13 games and have been the better side in 6 of them based on xg

i think under howe we would play so much better at home and we would still put in decent performances away from home
fair but a huge chunk of our terrible home form has to be the new stadium and taking time to bed in.
Howe is fine, he'd have us exactly where Moyes has us, maybe a bit more exciting football but not enough to warrant the upheval.
If we're gonna change, get Ancelotti after the WC or a young progressive manager.

Howe isn't good enough I'm afraid, I watched a Newcastle forum thing as I was curious what they thought of him and let's just say they weren't flattering him with praise
I'm not convinced with Howe either.
There's been good flashes and he can come up with good results now and again but his teams seem to often go through really bad spells as well.

Normally start off well under his management then as you say his teams dip and go through awful runs. Newcastle have been dreadful this season in the league which is always the judgement benchmark

Who is this saviour though ?

We want Iraola, front footed manager, but one of the worst goals conceded clubs.
