Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Folks, it's nice outside. May I humbly suggest you stop getting so wound up about what Everton are and aren't doing set against what other clubs are (or aren't) doing.

It's not good for you. It was obvious we are t going to chase Iraola, Glasner or other manager this summer, so why do.it to yourselves?
Exactly this. Folk think wishing for something manifests it into their warped sense of reality.

FOUR MORE YEARS, FOUR MORE YEARS, FOURS MORE YEARS

Yup, been next year for about 15 years now.

I saw a post earlier saying it takes time to improve a clubs fortunes. I don't think it does. The right appointment and one or two smart signings can totally transform a club. Doing the same thing every year will never do it.

Screw it go and get Dick Schreuder in from NEC Nijmegen in, anything, just give us something a bit different to get us excited.
Yeah I agree, the wildest example of this was Leicester winning the league. There have been plenty of others as well. Go get Glasner if not him then Hoeness from Stuggart would be a good choice. Either way don't stick with mr mediocre whist he wastes yet more money.

I don't think all these arguments are at all aligned. It's entirely possible that better more attainable managers are available next season. If we sack Moyes now and Glasner tells us to jog on (because why wouldn't he, he's leaving a better squad that's in the Europa league) then what? The 2 ideal candidates are off the market and you're gambling on your 3rd/4th/5th choice manager with a squad that everyone on here readily accepts is the pits
But who will be available mid-season if we fire Moyes based on poor results ? (Highly probable in my opinion) That’s the market we will likely be in and who will be available then.

To be fair though we should already know whether Glasner, Ireola etc. are interested Surely! (Maybe we do!)

Christ.

Everton have really done a number of some of you thinking we couldn’t attract glasner or Iraola here, we’re paying Moyes one of the biggest salaries in the league.

No wonder the Coe and TFG think we’re all happy about how the season went.

I think Iraola will do a decent job over the park, it’s ok wishing him to fail as I will of course if he gets it, but it’s folly to not recognise what he’s done during his time with Bournemouth.

We as a collective, seriously need to get some ambition and demand better than what we are getting from these clowns.

I think we likely do know. Iraola got tapped up by his old boss a month ago and has strung Palace along until they were ready. Glasner it's believable neither side are interested in each other given he plays a system totally unsuited to us and he can manage AC Milan.

Who knows who's available mid season, maybe someone gets sacked like Howe or Valverde is more ready to take over after a few months off. Off the top of my head iirc Emery, Howe, Glasner, Ancelotti, Arteta and Klopp were all winter appointments, it's not unheard of to grab a decent manager then.
