Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Shame that
Succession planning right there.
I think they've panicked. I see no reason why they would have preferred Iraola to Alonso. I see little reason why he would have favoured Chelsea over them. I think they missed their own bus, here, even if they have shown they were not prepared to tolerate failure.

I suspect this appointment will fail.

Nah, he’s had a mare. Won the league, gave 2 players the world could see had massively deteriorated the biggest salaries ever. Given £4856 billion pounds of new players. Then dropped from 1st to 5th whilst playing very unattractive football.

This isn’t a case of them showing how high their standards are and ruthless they are. He just wasnt very good, and recently has been poor. Managers to build on what he was left last season, but now there is a transition, it’s not very good. Just seems a sensible decision.
By their standards I agree.

Meanwhile
Our standards....do we have any ?

The fans had turned on him., Once that happens its over for any manager.

Except at Everton...obviously.

This is the problem, we all knew these clowns wanted to keep him, the unwavering refusal to consider change in the face of questions is a huge red flag. We’ve got bum owners, a bum CEO and a fossilised manager
Moyes isn't getting any younger so it doesn't make much sense to keep him on whilst we spin our wheels.

The owners probably don't even know who Moyes is.

Yeah I tend to agree, didn't really make sense to appoint him to replace Klopp even though he won the league. Iraola makes more sense if you want to get back to that style of football.

As if we were ever getting Glasner or Iraola anyway 🤣

Both the current hottest property in PL managers lists.
We probably could have got Glasner if we put a bit of effort in.

We can pay him more than most clubs, even AC Milan who he has been linked with. Iraola seems to be more flavour of the month than Glasner for some reason too.

Sell him the project.

Won't happen of course but he is not unobtainable.

Maybe the club just aren't sold on Glasner and prefer who would be available next year
Why is it always "next year"? Literally everything. "well glad we didn't get Europe, next year we can try for Europe". "Can't have the cups be a distraction, we need STABILITY so we can try for the cups next year". "Let's stick with someone we KNOW isn't the answer because NEXT YEAR".

It's absolutely pathetic.
