Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

It's funny, I wasnt sure who I'd prefer at everton untill the RS made their move and I instantly thought "hope Glasner doesnt take it".
I've always favoured Glasner but tbh either one of them would have been great as they are both a massive upgrade on Moyes. The fact that we seem to be doing nothing tells you everything you need to know about TFG and Kinnear.

It's the difference between the two clubs. They have standards, we really don't.

And a manager who you clearly think will be their choice being left on the shelf by us when the possibility was there tells you why they are the only serious club on Merseyside.

That said, I think they're in chaos as they've left Alonso slip through their fingers. He'd be a better fit for them than Iraola. Mind you, I think they might go for Glasner yet. I reckon he would be ideal for them: demanding, successful, ambitious. All the things we're not.
We do have standards, just not when it comes to on the field stuff unfortunately!

As for Iraola sitting on the shelf, it doesn't really work like that. Liverpool will have known months ago that they were getting rid of Slot. Iraola will have known that too. (or whoever they end up with). That will be why he decided to bin off Bournemouth months ago too as he knew a top job or two was going to be available.

I honestly think Glasner is better fit for Everton but I'd have been very happy if we'd of got Iraola. The main issue here is the acceptance of a piss poor season by Moyes and not booting him out and talking to Glasner or Iraola. It's been known for months that both were available. We could have acted weeks ago and secured one of them.
We can't go into a season with more players added and end up possibly having to grab a manager out of desperation.
We know how that will go.

Perhaps, yeah, but we will have known for months we were NOT getting rid of Moyes. And so will he. And here we are...

Shame that
Succession planning right there.

Prem title then Champs lge qualification.
Then sacked , not good enough.

But lets keep our stability eh

Are you watching Friedkin ?
Nah, he’s had a mare. Won the league, gave 2 players the world could see had massively deteriorated the biggest salaries ever. Given £4856 billion pounds of new players. Then dropped from 1st to 5th whilst playing very unattractive football.

This isn’t a case of them showing how high their standards are and ruthless they are. He just wasnt very good, and recently has been poor. Managers to build on what he was left last season, but now there is a transition, it’s not very good. Just seems a sensible decision.
