Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

But then you'll have believe that Moyes hasn't brought any dignity to the club since his appointment and made the club as good as any one on its day

Afterall he was only going to be selfish and run off giving us the finger.

He's been a fine manager. And I'd happily applaud him at half time whilst Round, Stubbs or Duncan was giving the team talk.

But by doing something - so insulting that no manager has ever done it to his club before - kind of takes the shine off it.

Mourinho has done it twice, going on 3 times. So it has been done. He just went about if differently.

Again, to me I prefer him taking us to the end of the season to make sure we finished as high as we can, and above the RS, so he can basically show that he can finish a job.

I can think or worse ways and worse clubs he could've left for.

One of my uncles hasn't a pot to p*ss in whereas his two brothers have done okay. But when he's out with them you'd never know the difference. He might have holes in the soles of his shoes but you'd never know it. He carries himself in the right way. We can all accept the economic reality of our times but we can never stop believing that, on our day, we're as good as anyone.

And that's the way it should be. A man's dignity is born within. Just like a football club.

The second Kenwright allowed Moyes to hang in there to suit another club's agenda we lost a little bit of our great club.

Well put mate...

Me neither, but don't get your point about rail links, neither goodison or anfield are connected? Anyway, by your rational the Bestway site would have been a tremendous opportunity, 5 minutes from existing inter city rail, the hotel complexes and the nightlife, all in the district of Everton....
Read the link I gave, that explains mass-transit to the stadium. Bestway site was far too small. It was not 5 mins from Lime St. Far from it. There was no direct rail to the site.

See what the defenders of this stupid decision to keep in place when he poaches star players after he has left!

They'll find reasons to justify it.

I am genuinely shocked at how defensive they have become.

It's probably because they invested so much in Moyes's "integrity" when he was stringing EFC along over why he was prevaricating over the new contract.

They are in denial and cannot face the truth.

So they lash out with great venom against those who love Everton FC more than they ever loved Moyes.

With these guys it's the opposite way round.

They have become supporters of David Moyes, not EFC.

Let him finish off his last two games and let's get on with it after that. He's done well to leave us with a solid foundation and there's no reason to **** on that. Its not like we have Loads of games to go anyways. He's been here 11 years FFS an did well to stabilise the club when we were in freefall. No reason for us to act like butthurt teenagers. Give him a clap, and a thank you for all those years of solid servica new man in and get on with it.

Beyong embarrassing this thread. Conspiracy theories that normally could only be found on RAWK.

It's not enough for the Moyes haters that he's going. No, they want him out NOW leaving the club managerless for the last 2 games of the season. This is possibly a reasonable view to take and opinion is split. Personally I find it disrespectful both Moyes, and more importantly the club, as it would show us in a very bad light given the worldwide attention that there will now be on him.

But to then label anyone who disagrees with them as toothless imbeciles who accept mediocity and are basically responsible for the current position because they don't know Everton's history and have abandoned the club principles of demanding the best is frankly outrageous and beyond reproach. They are living in a fantasy world where it is still 1987, we've just won our 9th title and are one of the elite. Well sorry, we're not anymore. A big club still, yes, but not part of the elite. But one man has done his level best to get us back there, and today he is on the receiving end of some of the most invidious bile that some of our 'fans' have ever produced.

You can knock Moyes all you want for his tactics and style of play - that is fair game. But what you can't do is question the man's integrity and the dignified manner he has represented this football club over the last 11 years. He has been a brilliant ambassador. The disrespect for that shown by certain posters in this thread makes me sad that they call themselves Blues.

Why do we look like a joke? Seriously?

Some one who has won ZERO titles happens to get one of the biggest jobs in world football. And don't start with the" he already got the biggest job when he signed for us" as it just sounds like Kopites saying they compete with Barcelona etc - fact is, we and they don't.

Small time would be him going to Sunderland or QPR because they got money to spend making us look like the cheap bin raiders we are in the modern game fuelled by finance.

Moyes goes to United. Who's Moyes? They Google him, the Google us, they see our history. Any manager who wants a job goes "wow, if I do really well there, I will get noticed. It's a tough job, but I'm good enough to do it"

Instead of us being a plucky team without a pot to piss in against the money rich sides - which is what the world thinks of us if any of was interested in football - they'll now see us as a club with merit, with history, with a good team that has to have done something right for its long term manager to go to the global brand that is United.

Fact is, if you thought Everton was on the tips of people's tongues before this. It wasn't. And sadly, him going to United has.

Hard to deal with but that's the truth.

Cracking point. Sadly this has expanded Everton "brand" more than anything moyes actually achieved over the 11 years here
