Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

Sorry but no traditional football fan could ever have written that. No offence. The club needs fans of all persuasions but you clearly are not ingrained in it.

I'll say it simply - I couldn't give a sh*t about a manager that wants our job so he can "get noticed". We are Everton.

Jesus wept. So we give someone a chance for 11 years just so he can be deemed worthy to try out for a global brand one day? Is that our role?

You can stick your Google Hits counter up your arse! All I care about is the club I love being left with an ounce of dignity. We are Everton. Nine league titles.

Christ mate. Sorry to be a realist but... We haven't won anything for 18 years. We've fought more relegation scraps than league titles over that time.

I can never slate a blue for holding his club in the highest standards and I commend you. But I personally can't compare the club and the game as it is now, to the club and the game it was 30-40+ years ago when we were at the top of it.

We are not that club in the modern game. We sell our players to United, Arsenal, City, etc because it is now a step up. Our manager is doing the same.

If that's dragging the club through the mud, then I have to disagree.

It seems as though Everton are still in 'deer in the headlights' mode, which I assume is why Moyes is staying on to deflect attention away from the board for another two weeks.

I expected Stubbs and Round to take charge for the remaining games, but it probably suits the club to let the fans concentrate on Moyes' leaving party on Sunday. His parting statement will probably be a reminder to back lovely Bill while he pisses off to drop tens of millions of world-class players.

Lol, you talk of respect and dignity then froth at the mouth at the thought of our manager seeing out his contract. Turn on your fellow fans. Turn on the manager... why because he's staying for 2 games to finish his job.

Just quite simply fk off. If your that infuriated that you want to take up the lanterns and pitch forks... just stay away for a couple of weeks.

Lowest of the low ffs. I would hate to think what would be said if he just left, abandoning us without saying goodbaye, leaving us in the lurch with no manager etc... Pretty sure that's how it would be seen.
Yes he's signed for United in the summer... BUT HE IS STILL OUR MANAGER. If you can't get behind him for 2 more games.. just go away for a fortnight.

This ludicrous level of faux outrage is far more embarassing than anything I have heard aimed at those that still support him till he leaves.

Grow up ffs.

That people are quoting NSNO like its a real thing says everything you need to know about the stupidity of these shouts.

Spot on.

The reaction on here to this is ludicrous. Here's hoping to a 5-0 victory and a fitting send off to a fantastic manager.

Why does this thread have 45 pages ? It's a total non-issue. Moyes will pick the team on Sunday because we pay his wages. Simple as that. What else is the club supposed to do ? It's no different from any other job. You work out your contract unless you cut a deal with your employer to leave early. And Everton have no earthly reason to want to persuade Moyes to leave early. Moyes's presence in the next few weeks will be invaluable to ensuring a smooth transition. Moyes has every motivation to make sure that things go right, and that we win on Sunday : as well as his general dedication to duty and his love for Everton, he knows that he's in the world's spotlight, and that any mis-step will be leaped on by his critics.

You know what.....most Evertonians have forgotten who we are.

for that...kenwright I hate you with every fibre in my boady.

Everton fc..... nilsatis nisioptimum.

if you don't understand. You have no right being here.

One of my uncles hasn't a pot to p*ss in whereas his two brothers have done okay. But when he's out with them you'd never know the difference. He might have holes in the soles of his shoes but you'd never know it. He carries himself in the right way. We can all accept the economic reality of our times but we can never stop believing that, on our day, we're as good as anyone.

And that's the way it should be. A man's dignity is born within. Just like a football club.

The second Kenwright allowed Moyes to hang in there to suit another club's agenda we lost a little bit of our great club.

He's already done that.

Phil Neville tipped as a possible replacement has been at it too, did an interview with Everton TV today labelling Bill the best chairman in the country.

You can go back to 1991 or a few years before that when that motto lost its way. Waaah before Kenwrong.

poetry mate.

dont waste your breath on people who clearly dont understand and have excepted mediocrity.

I'll fight for my club untill my last dying breath. As for the rest. ..its Just a hobby

We could do all that with Moyes in the Director's Box and then coming on to the pitch at half time.

But for him to be our manager in the circumstances stinks. If you don't get that then frankly you don't get the true essence of the club. If Goodison could bottle the smell of its wooden stands I'd shower in it.

Not to be rude to others, but, I've felt like this about several things over the years.

Important issues that a lot of fans don't seem to find important.

You're making a mountain out of a molehill. When Moyes gets an outstanding reception on Sunday that will do more for the club's dignity than hastily telling him to clear his desk a couple of days before his final home game.

He'll do everything within his power to help us win the game, that's all that should matter.

I think he will be ok to finish the season the man has shown nothing but love for us let him go out with his head held high

But then you'll have believe that Moyes hasn't brought any dignity to the club since his appointment and made the club as good as any one on its day

Afterall he was only going to be selfish and run off giving us the finger.
