Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

No I won't.

This issue is throwing out loud and clear how little some fans think of Everton. There is no dignity or self-respect.

I'd be absolutely fine with Moyes coming on the pitch at half time to wave goodbye. No problems.

But managing our club after he's committed to them is the lowest of the low.

Lol, you talk of respect and dignity then froth at the mouth at the thought of our manager seeing out his contract. Turn on your fellow fans. Turn on the manager... why because he's staying for 2 games to finish his job.

Just quite simply fk off. If your that infuriated that you want to take up the lanterns and pitch forks... just stay away for a couple of weeks.

Lowest of the low ffs. I would hate to think what would be said if he just left, abandoning us without saying goodbaye, leaving us in the lurch with no manager etc... Pretty sure that's how it would be seen.
Yes he's signed for United in the summer... BUT HE IS STILL OUR MANAGER. If you can't get behind him for 2 more games.. just go away for a fortnight.

This ludicrous level of faux outrage is far more embarassing than anything I have heard aimed at those that still support him till he leaves.

Grow up ffs.

That people are quoting NSNO like its a real thing says everything you need to know about the stupidity of these shouts.

Something rather 'rawkish' about proclaiming 'dignity and respect'.

A lot of 'humpty-dumptying' going on in terms of what those words actually mean.

A polite and pleasant 'goodbye' is in order.

Don't let wums light the blue touch-paper, then retire into the (red) shadows as our fans let themselves down.

The Kopites would LOVE it if we acted like tarts on Sunday.

Oh dear.

How about aim low and you'll never be disappointed?

Is that more like it?

No one is going to boo are they?

What a strange noise to make, why would a grown man make such an odd noise?

Don't confuse the issue, because there is none in saying goodbye and thank you to David Moyes, don't think anyone is asking for that, but it can be done while he sits in the directors box, next to best bud Bill, and to retain the belief that the club remains Everton FC without Moyes, Stubbs (which chokes me tbh) Sheedy or Round should be in charge of team affairs, Everyone is a winner and the club doesn't look like it's just been made to look like a complete gang of whoppers, yet again.

I am old enough to remember that, I believe I know the values of the club. I have an idea what you are getting at regarding the stadium, but if it is the Cronton proposal you refer to, as in 15 years ago, then that was like a diet Kirkby. The financial mismanagement goes deeper than that. The whole concept of DK imho was based on the premise that Evertonians accepted EFC as a 2nd tier club and were prepared to let their history be whitewashed or rebranded into the new badge for example. That there were enough drunken knobhead Evertonians to prevent it is a greater achievement than any Moyes has made. I think Moyes fell for a lot of Bill's bull over the years and sold the tales to keep some players, all this complicit in changing the expectations of the ordinary new generation blue. I think the older generation need to raise their game and instil the standards expected more firmly. We should never be in a position like this.
Kirkby Golf course was muted and other sites. Cronton? It was Huyton on the Cronton colliery site. Knobs kept saying Cronton as if it was near Manchester so we could stay at GP an decline into an ale house team. The site was an outsider. Nevertheless, many other sites came up. King Dock was a joke and I am glad that never came about. The club needs to be on a mass-transit rail line, the club could not figure that out. To be fair they did plan for the future and Finch Farm is evidence of that. The club has been mismanaged on the business level not the player level. Moyes did the best he could to his credit.
I liked Gary Neville's frankness. He said in the 1980s Man U were saying they were bigger than Liverpool while Liverpool were sweeping all before them not winning the title for 26 years. He said it made the club a laughing stock. But the people behind the club realised they can only compete with a strong revenue stream. They concentrated on uprating the stadium to bring in more revenue. It worked. It is no secret and ECF missed the boat despite being the first big club stating it was to move home. EFC took too much notice of the fans who knew diddly swat about business and the way the Prem was going. In the meantime the financial crash came in and scuppered the lot. It could have all been in place 10-15 years ago and the odd title in the bag.

Spectacularly missed interpretation of the goings on. Your opinion is as valid as anyone's, but how you see the situation should be played out really does pander to this Everton are a second rate club impression.

FFs He's been confirmed as the Man United manager so if people want to show their anger at him still being in charge of Everton, let them.

Apologies, I thought from a previous post you were serious. My mistake. Do you not think the connection from Lime Street to James street could have been thought of, or the development of Brunswick? To think Kings Dock was a joke in the context you put it is astounding, to highlight railway deficiencies is baffling, to omit the missed opportunity from the board due to petty squabbles is, frightening.

Any big company when losing a vital component to a competitor puts said component on garden leave, this is basic management. I do wonder why we did not do the same? As has been said its two games with realistically nothing to play for.

It seems an odd decision to me.

He's treated us with total disrespect this year playing us off against other potential employers, now he's got his 'dream' job leave 'little Everton' to go back to relegation fodder as we always where before he graced us with his presence!! Oh apart the 9 times we fluked the title.
I shall vent my spleen for this reason not for the fact he was our manager for 11 years(which included the season we achieved our lowest premier league points total).

No not really. Moyes hasn't left, he's our manager, I am not bitter and twisted enough to be upset that after 11 years he finishes his last two games, sees out his contract and gets the applause he deserves.
Nothing small time about signing a contract for when his leaves, rather than leave us managerless out of the blue imo. Two games. People need to get some perspective here.. 11 years.. 2 games.. There will be no lack of commitment from Moyes and that he finishes the job is a good thing in my eyes.
The preverbial pitch forks and torches and cries of little Everton going on are just massively overreacting to nothing.

All top 5 clubs have rebranded themselves but to positive effect. EFC took notice of misguided luddite fans who wanted no change and bring back terraces etc. That was a bad move and the club went into downward spiral. Detractors will say, "but Everton for the past 10 years have been nipping on the heels of the top 4". How they did was a miracle, that is why Moyes was offered the Man U job with no other contenders even looked at. If Everton want continuity, longevity and loyalty then Benitez is the man. He never left his home in West Kirby and his family stayed there all along. He is wedded to the area. He understands the people. He is also a successful manager wining CLs etc. His name should be on the voting list. I couldn't care if he was at the red ****e at one time. The club is desperate and needs at time to make desperate decisions.

That's only relevent if there is something to be gained by instant dismissal. I don't think he's going to learn much he doesn't know about Everton to take to United in the next two days.
Most employees have to give notice, they get a new job, then wait a week, month, whatever before leaving.
