Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

We know. Now pipe down a bit.

No I won't.

This issue is throwing out loud and clear how little some fans think of Everton. There is no dignity or self-respect.

I'd be absolutely fine with Moyes coming on the pitch at half time to wave goodbye. No problems.

But managing our club after he's committed to them is the lowest of the low.

We should bring him out on the pitch at half time for a standing ovation... then sack the f*cking redcoat right there and get Dunc to strangle him to death. The big screen will splice the footage of it with a Kenwright cry-w*nk while the BU members make snow angels in the inevitable confetti.

Then we should hold out for a solid 0-0 with West Ham, winning the sixth place trophy.

The club and staff will do what they want on Sunday, the fans will get behind them and the whingers will get in line as they always do at GP.

Don't understand why it's even being discussed, he's whored himself all over Europe for a new job all season, he now has one, shut the door on your way out Ging. It's an insult to our great club if we allow him to sit in the dugout on Sunday

You think? 11 years out of 135 and no trophies...On the scale of things, I don't see that as a long chapter.

Still one of our longest serving managers. The longest in the last 50 years in fact. Yes, a quite a long chapter.

Calm down lad. The issue has is dividing opinion, that is all. Just because some don't see it your way doesn't make them imbeciles as you described them.

When I was a kid Everton were the biggest and best and richest with a ground that hosted a world cup semi-final. Modern Everton fans have accepted we a second tier club, which is not acceptable to me. Our financial downfall was not moving to a new state of the art stadium 15 years ago when EFC first announced it wanted to move home. The fans were all for keeping Everton down by staying at an inferior venue, with poor transport connections, that generates little money. Man U make £2 million per game for the stadium alone. That is why they take our best payers and managers.
Nil Satis Nisi Optimum means Nothing But The Best Satisfies. The whole club forget what that meant. BTW, Moyes when joining Everton was told a new stadium was on the way. The club right now doesn't even have a site reserved never mind a high revenue creating stadium planned - the stadium we were promised 15 years ago. Since the Prem only the three richest clubs have won the title in 20 years. The exception being Blackburn. It is no coincidence that it takes money, a constant input stream, to compete at the top level.
I am old enough to remember that, I believe I know the values of the club. I have an idea what you are getting at regarding the stadium, but if it is the Cronton proposal you refer to, as in 15 years ago, then that was like a diet Kirkby. The financial mismanagement goes deeper than that. The whole concept of DK imho was based on the premise that Evertonians accepted EFC as a 2nd tier club and were prepared to let their history be whitewashed or rebranded into the new badge for example. That there were enough drunken knobhead Evertonians to prevent it is a greater achievement than any Moyes has made. I think Moyes fell for a lot of Bill's bull over the years and sold the tales to keep some players, all this complicit in changing the expectations of the ordinary new generation blue. I think the older generation need to raise their game and instil the standards expected more firmly. We should never be in a position like this.

If you watch todays press conference you will clearly see David Moyes smirk when he utters " I've got great respect for them" meaning Everton.

He shouldn't be in the dugout. Games up Moyes just walk

Outstanding post and one every young Evertonian should read very carefully. Everton are a massive club with a rich tapestry of history few clubs can come anywhere near. We are still the fourth most successful club in English football history and it wouldn't take a massive amount of success for the likes of United and Liverpool to seriously start flapping.

The next generation of Everton supporters shouldn't except being a second tier club, it is not acceptable in any shape or form

Edited transcript...

In an emotional press conference, his first since confirmation on Thursday he would be leaving Goodison Park after 11 years, it was clear how much Everton means to Moyes. However the lure of Old Trafford was something he simply could not resist.

"I'm disappointed to be leaving such a great club," he said.

"The club has been such a great part of my life."

But when asked if he had considered turning down United's approach, Moyes said simply: "I have to be honest and say no."

The Toffees manager's contract was due to expire in the summer but claimed he wasn't planning to leave prior to signing a six-year contract to succeed Ferguson, who retires at the end of the season.

He said: "I wasn't planning on leaving. My contract was running out but we were planning for pre-season. All we've ever done here is keep planning."

Moyes added: "The fans have been great to me from day one here. I would like to say thank you for that support they've always given me.

"It was very difficult meeting with the chairman this week. I have great respect for him and we've had a great relationship.

"The chairman has never been critical of me and he has always tried to give me everything he possibly can to support me.

"The chairman has been really good for me and he will be really good for the next manager because he is a great Chairman.

"I think Sunday will be emotional because I've been so close to the players and the people around Goodison.

"As a manager I might have got more mellow. I hope I've not lost that intensity but maybe learned to use it in the right ways.

Neil Lennon is favourite to succeed Moyes as Toffees manager, but the former Preston manager believes there will be many candidates considering applying for the role.

"I'm sure there will be lots of good people interested in this job and no wonder, because it is a great place to work.

"Whoever comes in (as manager) will get a well-run club, great set of players. I'm disappointed to be leaving such a great club.

"This club when I took over was bobbing along near the bottom of the PL. Now we're competing around 5th 6th spot every season.

"When I came in and mentioned the people's club it was from my heart how I felt about the club. The 11 years haven't disappointed me.

"The players this year have been exceptional and I would hate to think Sunday and next week are about David Moyes."

He hits the nail on the head with this, and if he's still manager on Sunday then it will be about David Moyes.

Really think we should give Neville, Round, Dunc or some combination of them a chance, it's only 2 games after all

To put this in perspective.

Prior to Fergie claiming the first of his Title wins in 1993, we had been Champions more times than United had been.

And I think it is also true to say that before Wenger we had been Champions more times than Arsenal.

And we have been Champions more times than Citeh, Chelsea and Spurs combined.

This decine you younger blokes are witnessing is aomething that has really only came on in the past 20 years.....when EFC were left standing on the platform as the Sky gravy train pulled out the station.

Don't accept second class status.

We are a first class club fallen on hard times.

But only for now.

If you watch todays press conference you will clearly see David Moyes smirk when he utters " I've got great respect for them" meaning Everton.

He shouldn't be in the dugout. Games up Moyes just walk
I can actually picture him telling some tales to his new work mates of how comical it was to work at little old everton, just so he is liked in his new job...as is normal at our club in recent times, something about this whole situation doesn't ring true, I'd like to believe in Moyes integrity, but, there is something about this week that leaves a nasty taste and it isn't a pukka pie..
