Pienaar was off to Spurs without a second thought.
Yeah thought that was a strange inclusion myself.

More evidence for ‘no, we shouldn’t have kept him’:

What next - bring back Tony Blair?
More evidence for ‘no, we shouldn’t have kept him’:
I am a massive fan of his but his best had passed when he came back. We should not have done it. Neither should he.yes, of course we should've kept Rooney...in 2004.
2017 we should never have brought him back...badly small-time from us.
nothing will be the same etc
Probably right. But we need better now...not the worst shout but the reality is we’d have had 4 strikers (Rooney, DCL, Tosun and Niasse) none of whom totally fill the void. Saying that, Rooney might well be head of that queue.
Because it is going backwards. At his best he was the greatest player I have ever seen, but all that is gone now. We have a forward thinking and developing team. What has gone has truly gone. Watching it develop is more interesting and at last hopefulProbably a stupid question but can't we do with Rooney like we did with Donovan? Just a short term loan? Don't really see the harm in that honestly.
He would not be near Siggy now I am afraid. He would score more than current strikers but too slow now for all other aspects. All answers point to YES
One of the biggest reasons I struggled watching us last season.
I had made peace with him leaving for United but seeing him come back here when passed his best really grated. I just couldn't take to him.
It was like going back to the Walter Smith retirement home days.
Chalk and cheese this season to last thank heavens.
