Rooney is done, hell Rooney was done 3 years ago. Should never have had him back, I said it at the time, I said it while he was back and I say it now. 150K a week would have been better spent on a younger better player.

As an outright striker. Could he have the discipline to do what Ronaldo did and change his game to more of a Fox in the box player? Maybe not. He wouldn’t be worse than our current bunch of strikers in my opinion

The problem is though he's on double what the rest are on money wise. And for my I reckon his ego is that big he doesn't want to just sit in/around the box waiting for one of the midfielders to make something happen for him he always wants to drop deep and do it himself

For just this season, and jettisoned Tosun instead. We all know he's on the wane but stick him up front with orders to stay in and around the box and I reckon he could have been effective, especially with the service he would have got from Richarlison, Walcott and the Brazilian magician.

Should surely be banned for that post.

A great player and, despite the fact he played his career for a rival, still clearly loves Everton. I'm glad he came back for a season, if only to scratch an itch and see him play in blue, but another season at this level would've been too much. We would've ended up having to form the team around him, his style and his growing limitations, which would severely have worked against the new boss. We'd have ended up resenting him.
