Quite frankly my dear I don't give a damn !

th

It's a pretty pointless thread.

They both failed.

GOT at it's finest with WUM's trying to bait others about Martinez. I really fail to see why grown men do this or have the time to do it either.

Why pointless?

Being an Everton fan I find Everton related topics very interesting. I was in the middle of a conversation about this and put it in here instead of derailing another thread. I honestly was wondering if people would agree. I expected it to be quite even really.

For example Tom you can start a thread in the Ale House on your do's and don'ts of being a grown man.

Firstly Thomas, apologies for saying you didn't acknowledge RM's first season. Was wrong there.

Secondly, why do you think that anyone who liked Martinez is a WUM? I may be quoting you wrongly there so apologies in advance if this isn't true.

It's just it seems anyone who says: Listen, I liked him, I liked the style of footy... you think is a WUM?

I just don't understand why we can't have a differing opinion?

Because it has been derailed into a load of poop by silly people trying to wind others up, just in my opinion of course.

I don't, apology accepted.

The thread has just taken a familiar track, I shall keep out of it now, leave you to your incorrect assumptions. ;)

Like. Chalk and cheese these two personality wise, I remember just after Martinez was appointed, I went to An Audience With Roberto Martinez at Aintree race course, on the night Martin answered question from the Evertonians. told us his life story his plans for
Everton, had pictures taken with Evertonians, and came across has a nice fella.
Just after Koeman joined us I went to an Audience with Ronald Koeman. at the Titanic Hotel, just after, the party I was with were summoned for a group photograph,
AKoman came and stood in the front, photo taken,no handshakes, later he told us a little about his footballing career, no Q&A, all in all very aloof, there was also security men, making sure no one could approach, and in the audience was Jan Molby ?
a room full of Evertonians, I heard several Evertonians asking, what is he doing here ?
to be told he was a friend of Koeman, and then we had the red Xmas tree,
He just never got us, I think he was using Everton has a stepping stone for bigger things. but it blew up in his face, a complete disaster for all concerned.

Think you're rewriting history a bit there if i'm honest. I have no idea where you've got that from, and i'd say it was one of the worst defensive displays i've seen in the 25 years spent watching us. 0-2 down after 3 minutes, conceded 3 in 10 minutes at one stage too. A Martinez game if ever there was one.

We were never even in the game. A couple of freak consolations made it seems exciting to the neutral, whereas I was in complete disbelief at what I was watching and not in a positive way.

What exactly about it made it the best attacking display you've ever seen from an Everton side out of interest? Better than the 3-0 hammering we gave Arsenal in his first season? Or games like 7-1 against Sunderland or 6-1 vs SK Brann.

what game did you watch??? We simply batter a Jose Mourinho side.

Consolations??? it went 1-2 then 2-3 then 3-4.

The fact it was against a Mourinho Chelsea made it the best attcking display

We also hit the post at 3-4... Small margins... I firmly believe if we had scored that (which would've been contender for goal of the season as well, Mirallas backheel volley) we could've gone on to win. We actually played really well in that game, but unfortunately, as was often the case under Martinez, a combination of stupid, unpredictable individual errors and bad luck, meant we ended up losing a close game 6-3. 4 of their goals were flukes or mistakes (Jagielka trying to play the stupidest offside ever, a deflection off Coleman, a deflection off Jagielka, and Besic infamous backheel).

Kone and Nissae just there to get goals (not good at that)

Alcaraz was technically sound, just a horrible horrible defender. His only attribute was composure on the ball.

McGeady, Besic, Atsu, Cleverly are technically sound. Just lacking in end product or anything worthwhile offensively

But they all can play possession football and pass the ball, which was the point I made. Actually doing anything productive with the ball is another matter.

Funes Mori...I'll give you that.

And none of them cost £24mill or £45mill either

Inflation mate.
