For those who don't realise, that Steaua Bucaresti flag is a reference to when Steaua won the 1986 European cup (now Champions League) the very season we would've been huge favourites to win it had Heysel not happened. That flag is basically saying 'Hahaha, we (Liverpool FC) got you kicked out of Europe when you had your best ever team, hahaha'

I know people have relatives and friends who are from the red side but blues need to remember that shower don't deserve any respect from Everton. Stand with them over Hillsborough (not that I'd expect them to do the same if it had happened to us) but otherwise they're no different to Man Utd or Chelsea. Just an arrogant so called big club supported by morons and plastics

But it did happen to some of us. How many of the 96 had Evertonians in their family?

@Alan Whittle
I hope you are taking notes Alan.

Anything less than a full 90mins of angry noise by home fans will apparently get Tyler very upset.

Your support has being very vocal all year, hope you don't disappoint him on Monday :)

We're up for it, no worries. Plucky Little Palace v "THEBESTFANZZINTHEWEEERRRRLLLLLDDDD!!!!!"
The Holmesdale are doing a pre game display and it's been sold out completely for a week or so. We're up for saying thanks to Tony and the boys for the incredible season we have just had. Tyler will sound like he can't hear himself think......so no change there then.

Thing is, regarding Tyler, I wouldn't mind if it was his genuine opinion - everyone is allowed those - but he was clearly inventing a situation that wasn't there, which means that in his paid job to be impartial and call the action he was allowing unsubstantiated bias to cloud his performance.

He should be disciplined for it by his bosses, but I have a massive suspicion that his bosses are the very people who wanted the action called that way yesterday.

It was propaganda, pure and simple.

What's all that holmesdale ultras about mate? Bit cringey isn't it

Living in NZ, I am (thankfully!) 12,000 miles away from Kopite ground zero. There indignation at us not delivering them the title is laughable. What weapons they come across as.

You sir are a weapon.
Your welcome to your opinion even if it is uncalled for.
And where do you sit, in the stadium or the armchair?
Both mate, I got to around 6-7 home games a season.
Don't be daft. We had 5th place sorted before a ball was kicked so it was a dead rubber.

Granted, the atmosphere was down on what it would have been if the result wasn't going to possibly effect the title, but everyone was up and cheering when we scored and even people who had said before kick off they wanted Liverpool to win were up on their feet willing us to get an equaliser in the last 25 mins or so.

For sure, the disappointment at losing is negated a bit by the fact that it means they're less likely to get the title, but that's only natural.
I get the whole banter and the not wanting to win before the game, but once the lads cross that white line that should all be forgotten and we should roar them on, I just felt that had the crowd got right behind the team like the Arsenal, Man U game, we'd of beaten City
oi lad, what you got against the welsh? why should it be any different for man city or swansea in your opinion?
I have nothing against them it was the 1st 2 teams that came in to my head

Peter Drury and Jim Beglin did my local version and they were OK in the first half. I don't know about the 2nd because I had a technical problem with my TV and haven't seen it, yet.
I thought the crowd were fine. Happy faces, jumping about, clapping and waving arms, loud choruses of Allez O.
What's the problem?

Only after a hard fought 3-2 at home against the best team in the league, could Kopites and weapons like Martin Tyler claim we threw the game.

Anyway, time to move on. Always disappointed when Everton loses but it's only a game of football and there are bigger fish in my day to day fry pan, to fry.

Discussed yesterday's match with a few mates (Norwich, Leeds & Villa fans), all can see through the bitterness of Liverpool fans in their post match reaction. Would rather blame us than look closer to home as to why they could have blown the title...
