Prepare for the incoming bad press...

I've just checked Rawk for a good chuckle.

I didn't expect to see that.

I've taken the liberty of plotting a graph (which I feel will help us all reflect on the situation) to sum up the glorious bitterness that they all have at heart:

The same media who have completely disrespected and slandered us for the whole of this season? The media who wrote us off as a nobody club who'd fall to bits without Moyes? The same media who want us to be "plucky, little Everton"?

I'm not even remotely arsed what those tossers think. This has been a great season and next year will hopefully be even better.

We gave our all, fans were quieter today but so what. We had finished 5th and 4th went last week. Anyone who thinks that we rolled over today for a tummy tickle needs glasses or to stop being bitter.

Not like City are a poor side is it and we have so many players missing.

Some of us knew this was coming, the RAWK-ites have been building up to it all week and the media have joined in over the last couple of days. Shame on anyone on here who gives it any credence: the Goodison crowd and the players gave as much (if not more) as could be expected today.

Tyler is a disgrace and no amount of finger-pointing and name-calling is going to change the fact that the team gave their all today.

Had my mate before giving me the our fans were a disgrace today etc etc! He soon shut up and didn't know what to say when I reminded him when most Liverpool fans wanted Blackburn to beat them at Anfield about 20 years ago so Man Utd didn't win the league. There was even talk of them wearing Blackburn shirts to the game ffs! Bunch of hypocrites!

Well in daglish autobiography he mentions that a fan behind him wearing a Liverpool kit came out in the second half with a blackburn top on shouting for them. Says it all !.

My personal opinion is no matter who ur playing or what it can effect, when that first ball is kicked the crowd should be right behind the team, an we weren't and tbh I find it embarrassing i'd under stand if it was Cardiff or Swansea but this was a big team rolling in to town and our last home game, in our best season for 4 years.

Don't be daft. We had 5th place sorted before a ball was kicked so it was a dead rubber.

Granted, the atmosphere was down on what it would have been if the result wasn't going to possibly effect the title, but everyone was up and cheering when we scored and even people who had said before kick off they wanted Liverpool to win were up on their feet willing us to get an equaliser in the last 25 mins or so.

For sure, the disappointment at losing is negated a bit by the fact that it means they're less likely to get the title, but that's only natural.
