The 1878 lads and ladies did us proud tonight

If You Know Your History

Player Valuation: £2.5m
What an atmosphere the 1878 men and women created tonight! It would have been bedlam had we equalised!

We really need this sort of thing for the derby game.

Where can we donate to them? Is that at all possible?

I think they do a fantastic job. But much prefer the way they filled the Gwladys St. With flags and banners than tonight's more modern approach. Imagine that South stand a heaving throng like the Street end used to be.

It was extremely impressive and I hugely admire the work and commitment the 1878 guys put into it. But personally, I dont like things that are as ‘manufactured’ as this. We slaughter the rs for doing stuff like this. I would much prefer they put the EFC stamp on the ground in ways that are more permanent. I don't know what, (as i have the imagination and creative savvy of a rich tea biscuit) ND i am absolutely not dissing their work. But this was great, then gone and the ground bears no sign of it ever being there? I would like to see something that remains after the event.

TBF, that responsibility rests with the gormless club who accepted that commercial forces call the shots at our £800M new stadium. It's up to the club to add statues/Everton's name inside as well as outside the club - on seats and on the exterior walls of the west and east stands, not a fan's group.

The 1878s have done more than that lot to try and retain our identity and build it in this new location.
