To listen to some you'd think #EFC players and crowd showered City with rose petals. Rubbish. #LFC title prospects barely seemed to register

#EFC fans won't shed tears about losing today, but the "strange atmosphere" was still more partisan than you get at many grounds these days

Couple of other articles also saying the team gave their all and the way we celebrated our goals suggests that the notion we didn't want to win was ludicrous.

Its only the Liverpool fans who think we didn't try, even Kompany said he thinks our players have '"very good friends at Liverpool"

to be honest if they are going to run a corrupt business from fifa to the fa and give kick backs and pay astronomical wages and endorsements to players and then obviously cheat liverpool to nearly winning the title (I know still not over), all other fans and players and managers see and know this, how can you not expect there to be a bit of non 100% commitment from everton or other teams to hand liverpool even more. they reap what they sow, though their hefty bank accounts probably help cushion the blow of possibly losing the title. Fairer playing field maybe every other team plays fair. If they think there was less commitment on our part I would then encourage them to look at both united and spurs doing us a favour so its an even bigger conspiracy. [Poor language removed] liverpool. my health would suffer if they won the title, so everton fans questioning my loyalty to the blues of merseyside, I am actually thinking of my sanity and not going into despair over just us losing one game that didnt change our season, saying that if we were getting fourth that couldve been tolerable to a liverpool win

Had my mate before giving me the our fans were a disgrace today etc etc! He soon shut up and didn't know what to say when I reminded him when most Liverpool fans wanted Blackburn to beat them at Anfield about 20 years ago so Man Utd didn't win the league. There was even talk of them wearing Blackburn shirts to the game ffs! Bunch of hypocrites!

More recently than that as well..against Chelsea in 2010 when Gerard set Drogba up for the opening goal.

Oh God... these people:

@JohnHoyte @OliverKayTimes nothing to play for? Guess outside chance of getting into champions league means nothing at all

Redfriends telling us how we should feel and how we should support our club.

gutted, thought we deserved point at least. Crowd grew a conscience second half and got behind the team, [Poor language removed] losing 3-1 isn't it.

I didn't mind that Martin Tyler until recently, watching the [poor language removed] vs City game, he went crazy when the [poor language removed] scored and didn't really seem bothered when City scored....Same with Alan Parry. Heard he was a disgrace today...We gave it our all today and I don't think anybody can moan!

Didn't see the press complaining about the odd atmosphere at the start of the Palace game. Like today it started off pretty flat but the crowd really got into it by the end.

We had a very good chance of CL then and we still lost 3-2 against a side that isn't as good as city.
