all players are overrated. they have a job to do. some do it better than others. as a youngster I thought pele the best player ever existed then watched pele is s**t on skinner and baddiel's programme (fantasy football?) then realised.

.....the best players were good most of the time, the great players were good all of the time. I understand why fans liked McKenzie and he was entertaining to watch but not a proper footballer in my view.
