Right player, wrong position

Big Barry’s interview in the Guardian mentions he’s never been a striker until recently, and it got me thinking - which Everton players past and present would’ve been better by playing in another position?

An easy one to start; Michael Keane as a centre forward.
Theres more to a striker than just hitting the odd screamer or snap shot..has keane got any pace, hold up play, and dribbling ability?

Phil Neville was always a coach/manager and not a player for me, they always said he was better at cricket maybe he should have stuck to that. All that pointing everywhere.

What was he before than ? cos I really cant see him anywhere else on the pitch, not as a professional anyway..

And that went so well that it never went any further than the training ground. Again, for a reason.
There is a lot more to it, which is why people do not do it. However, he has been, and still is, consistently regarded as the best striker of the ball in the team.

And this is by his peers. I do genuinely however think in some games, I'd risk throwing him up front late on as I think he has more to him than Beto.

Andrea Pirlo was often the best striker of a ball in every team he played for but nobody ever suggested he should’ve played up front. I think the reason people do it with Keane is simply because he’s been so bad in his actual position.
