I think it is interesting to look at how Fellaini has done and how our midfield has evolved for the 28m. I believe he had the potential to be a top class player, but he never continued to improve from those performances in 09.
For me the one player who I was gutted we signed for, what was a vast sum of money was Nick Barmby. He cost the equivalent of 40m plus in todays market and was one of the most 'play when I can be bothered' players I have ever seen. I was gutted when we signed him and furious at how he left. He should never have had the chance to wear our shirt.
From the current squad Mirallas would appear to be overated, but then he was well worth the 6m fee.

Never seen any footage of his goals, if he was really that good there would be a YouTube completion videos of those 60 odd goals he scored that season. Dubious to say the least.
