No. But I can state with reasonable certainty that he's had a positive influence on results based on 8 seasons both with and without.

I can't compare whether Jason Lee would have outscored RVP playing in the same side as him.

You can't.

Stats can say anything you want them to. Joe Allen was recently found to be statistically Liverpool's most important player this season in terms of results, but you'd have to be a downright moron to actually believe that's the case.

Fair enough your entitled to think that, I dont agree but I'm not going to **** you off or abuse you.

Fair enough. I'm not going to abuse you but I really struggle to see how you can genuinely believe that. It's a view that solely focuses on the negatives and you're refusing to believe the man has done one single act that has benefited the club. But I'll leave it at that.

No they can't. A boxer who loses every single fight cannot have an argument made for him that he'll go into the hall of fame for skill.

If that Joe allen stat continued for another 8 years you'd have to be a moron to ignore the common denominator.

Happy he won't be playing any more, he's offered very little for about 3 years now. With the young lad Stones, Hibbert coming back and Coleman making the position his own, he's'no longer a choice at right back.

As for centre mid, we've obviously got plans to strengthen there for next season and when he played there, he was never one to inspire much confidence. His positional sense and lack of awareness of who was around him, Wigan for example, made him more of a hinderance to the side.

Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Ok you got me, his 8 goals benefited the club.

Great captain, seems like a nice bloke as well and has put in some top notch performances over the years, I wish him all the best wherever he ends up playing next season.

Thanks for everything you've done for the club Phil. Effort, hard work, determination and professionalism - surely all the ethics you'd expect from an Everton player?

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum - Something which he always seem to adhere to. He always gave his best no matter what his job was. Whilst his best didn't always make the grade he always tried in the name of Everton Football Club.

Will never forget the winning penalty against Chelsea in the cup - probably my best day as a Blue.

Thanks Phil.

All the very best in the future, you have been a fine servant to the Club, which is all you can ever ask of a player, and a person.

Anyone whos outstanding attribute is either hard work or professionalism is usually a pretty grim footballer, possible one single motm performance in 8 years, from our captain, with the best will in the world that's just not good enough. Also towed the party line too much, pretty much saying we should be grateful to be were we are. Seems a genuine guy, but I wont be joining the thank you parade for a very lucky multi millionaire

Solid enough but will always be remembered for his Gary Stevens pass against Wigan.

Amazing to believe he is only two years off a testimonial.

Phill Neville is model professional and I wish him all the best, wherever he goes and whatever he does.

Thank You for all your years of service captain Phil!

Phill Neville

Got more medals than Steve Gerrard

Yet won precisely zero at Everton, makes that a moot point.

He probably should have announced this this time last year but good luck to him, top notch pro and servant for us. More than happy for him to stay around the squad on the training pitch for the rest of the season being the most experienced player we have.

Can't understand some of the comments on here but there you go, I hope we are 2/3 up with 10 minutes to go against West Ham and he comes on and gets a brilliant reception.

Due to the lack of respect shown to other great pro's at Everton such as David Weir and Tim Cahill at the end of their time, I would expect nothing but the same from a minority section of knuckle dragging Evertonians.

I hope this shows that the club are moving forward in their thinking, but wouldn't put any money on that being the case.
