Moyes admits desire to manage in Germany

Sorry, I thought Benitez said we were a small club just like the lad I was quoting if he said otherwise can you source it please?

Also can you tell me what additional money the board gave Moyes for Jely, Kev and Gibbo beyond incoming transfers please? I'd like to send them a xmas card in thanks.

If you can't you need to go back to school and work out the meaning of "incorrect", using words you don't understand is "bellend" territory, I feel sure you just made a mistake - didn't you?

You were wrong actually fella.. Also wtf was he doing?.. your right what he should of done is.. in his first year bought Lescott for 5mil and sold him for 24 so we could buy Heittinga, Billy and Distin, sold Billy and bought Mirallas whilst also gaining 10 years of top flight revenue.. at the same time as this (this may be a busy window by the way) brought Rodwell through the ranks and sold him for sufficient funds to buy Gib.. ah forget it I could finish this whole rant and you'll still be confused as to why we didn't have the squad we have now 10 years ago.. despite most of them not even being pro footballers and those that were would of been at their peak costs..
WTF he has been doing is changing the direction of our club at the pedestrian pace handed to us by a board that has no interest in giving him money.

Throwing a few haymakers there like, nigel's on the ropes...

We're not going to win anything with or without Moyes though are we mate? It's a sad reflection on how modern football is.

That's not necessarily true.. We are good enough now to genuinely win a trophy, he has a major bugbear for most of being very defensive in big games once we go ahead but with the pace we have, that actually could work.. You go 1-0 up and defend, won't take a lot to get a break going and with Mirallas, Coleman and Baines in that break things may happen.
We are not going to win the league for some time but if we get into the CL we have at least got a good enough squad to maybe cement a place in there with the money gained.. Its not great but its one step at a time when you have no backing.. Moyes has had to do it himself... and he is doing it.. just get that CL position and I think things will change. We are better than last time we got there.
Or we may carry on.. we can but hope mate.

You raise good points and you're optimistic, full credit to you, I just look at modern football and it bothers me that it is so difficult to win silverware now. Even the League Cup, where the top 4 field "weak" teams, feels like a step too far and too many games for our thin squad.
We set out every year to attempt to balance the books, and that makes me sad.

I agree.. on one hand I have to be realistic as well as optimistic... on the other I hate arguing that Moyes has had no money as if its the only reason we are not world beaters... when reality is that is 99% the case..
Fortunately there are some clubs that have squeezed in a cup win over the time and they have inferior squads to us so hope is not lost mate, its not as open and shut as bottling as some will have you believe but it has been the case with Moyes on a few occasions.
This year does feel different somehow as we have pace which is new and I honestly believe that with a trip to 4th spot and a little luck that 4th is a CL position, we could get into the group stages and come out with enough money out of it to give Moyes a Fellaini level signing.. think of our midfield with Fellaini, Gibson, Mirallas, Pienaar and another Felli level player we have never heard of but who is quality.
When it comes to signings... IMIT.
Fellaini 2 instead of Neville anyone?

So we should be dissatisfied with where we are and not consider it improvement eh Nigel?
These are the years building up to Moyes era..
Apparently we were very optomistic according to Nigel until Moyes took that away.:/.

Mate if you're satisfied with 10 yrs of winning fck all that's your biz, one things for sure you're not alone.

Being optimistic isn't the same as expectation btw, but I'm sure you knew that. It's always interesting how our complete history is ignored in these debates - almost like it's a source of shame - fck it eh! it only formed the basis of who we are.
