Moyes admits desire to manage in Germany

From tomorrow's Telegraph:

Fellaini has apologised for his behaviour, but David Moyes remained upset with the talismanic playmaker. The Everton manager suggested Fellaini’s absence could expose the lack of depth to his squad. “People shouldn’t be surprised if we aren't able to solve it...â€￾

Moyes is playing our board like a fiddle at the moment. First the Germany stuff, now this.

Classic 'Give me what I want' contract negotiating. Fair play to him, don't blame him in the slightest for it. He holds all the cards, and he might be 'Mr Well Respected', but it doesn't mean he doesn't know all the tricks.

Great attitude shown there by the ginger surrender monkey.

Taking a nail into a fight with the hammers.

Why expectation is different at various clubs are many and varied but to deny ours hasn't dropped over the Moyes years from what they once were is ludicrous. Either you're not old enough to know or you take it as some kind of personal affront - the former is understandable the latter is plain weird ... mate.

Have you ever considered actually consulting the facts, rather than just posting your rather skewed perspective on it, as being somehow representative of reality?

As it's already been pointed out to you, that in the decade prior to Moyes arrival we only finished in the top 10 once..........how the feck does Moyes then producing much better finishes on a consistent basis in the following decade equate to the 'lowering of expectation' - please explain in detail who that works. Thanks in advance.

It could be a ploy to get more funds but I would put my money on it being a ready made excuse if we don't perform and drop down places in the league. He is very good at this.

Try not to get so emotive when replying going to defcon 5 all the time is just tiresome you end up immediately entrenched and start this arsey bollocks rather than engaging in genuine debate - no need for it.

I notice you avoid the essential point of when your EFC experience started as alluded to, which is fundamental to the debate, if you've only seen shte I have some sympathy but nontheless let me pose these questions:

Does winning fck all for 10 yrs match your expectation of EFC?

Is the style we play today not better than the turgid defensive stuff that has dominated Moyes tenure?

The answers are NO and YES respectively (I hope) which begs the next question why have we put up with it for mostly 10 yrs?

The answer is "expectation" - as you hint fear has made "better finishes" a cause for celebration among some although I suggest it's a forum phenomenom rather than a widely held evertonian view. But whether you like it or not (and you clearly don't) that's the top and bottom of it you can argue the toss about reasons WHY - money, THE ECHO, Kenwright, sausage rolls, Moyes but the fact remains WE ACCEPT IT AND WE NEVER USED TO.

The consistent argument from pro Moyes is look back to the 90s ..... sorry, some of us were around well before that. The 70s when we won fck all while watching the RS win everything bar the boat race knocks this era into a cocked hat for pain but here's the point - the pain was because we ached, demanded, EXPECTED to win stuff AND play in a certain way.

It could be argued the continued defiance to accept sh1te ultimately led to Kendal and the 80s, that defiance among the fans is no longer there we accept Moyes can decide if we're good enough FOR HIM!! and it's crap. But we EXPECT nothing more it never used to be this way

the squad isnt small enough that he is putting out players that dont even belong in the championship into their worst possible positions. he's setting it up so if the team struggles nobody blames ole davey.
