Moyes admits desire to manage in Germany

Well he's still young in managerial terms, if I were him I would probably branch out too and learn more about my trade. All good things come to an end.

He isnt the same man though.. I loved the Moyes, trackie on, warming the lads up, hungry manager..

He is now just doing his job though.. Like we all do.. an employee..

Narrowly to chelsea!! - you're grinning there aren't you naughty scamp!

Mick I'd go for Martinez, I have to admit the cupboard is bare they all look a gang of shtes but I saw his stuff at Swansea first hand if he could do similar here it would be amazing. Only thing is he's gone backwards at wigan.

What was the score against Chelsea nige?

See I dont see this with Martinez- if ever a manager would be a risk it would be him. He works on a budget not too disimlar to Moyes and yet we have a team in the top 5 and they have a team in the bottom 3.

Yes they can play nice stuff and yes he seems to be able to pick a player or two but the league never lies and season after season they struggle.

If Moyes left and we took on Martinez I think it would be a huge risk, it might pay off but playing nice football and getting the odd decent player doesnt get you further than where we are now.

If Moyes keeps this squad together or even replaces real quality leaving with real quality coming in and next season we struggle or achieve very little in the way of cups and Europe I may be swayed but at the moment we have a very pleasing squad playing at times some of the most impressive football in the league and I want to see what he can achieve with this current crop.

I have gone full circle about a keeper, I was a big fan of Howard but he isnt looking confident at all. I really hope we get a couple in January with none leaving- a keeper and a striker is my preference with maybe another body in the middle too.

To be honest you have officially confused me be re-writing my post and now diverting your answers from that.. I am actually struggling to follow what your on annoyed with me about now so i'll just go with the above as its written because honestly I can't be arsed trying to work out what I originally wrote in comparison anymore.
Of course giving up at games is unacceptable.. why would it not be? Did I say it was okay? doubtfull.
Never said Moyes antics didn't contribute to not winning a cup, in fact I could quote myself saying the opposite, Moyes however is the reason we expect it to be more than just a distant pipe dream and that we are annoyed we havn't.
Apathy doesn't support the above.. in fact it supports nothing.. it is in fact apathetic to both good and bad, doesn't help either side. Its entirely impartial. If I go to the game and don't hate Moyes or the board.. nothing happens.. If I go there and hate both.. nothing happens.

And my computer is fine ta.

Now then..
Do you accept Moyes has had virtually no money
That he inherited a squad in constant relegation battles
That all around have had massive amounts of money to spend
That we are now european challengers?
Is this not progress? Is this not down to Moyes?
Therefore are we not within our rights to be more optimistic than the decade before?

What you must factor in is Rooney, effectively a gift of 20 odd million plus his ability (which we didn't always use) and IMO the same players relieved of expectation placed upon walter got back to basics which was good enough to survive. Initially with the Rooney factor we steadied then progressed did a bit in the market, not all good but still pushed on.

The problem arose when teams sussed what we did remember the evolution of "everton = hard working" it got us so far ie comfortable survival but we never had any devil it was a % game destined to be nailed whenever teams matched us physically then came at us.

When Moyes shipped out Bily and most notably Rodwell we were in and at last got proper creativity, no additional money come into the club it was "managing " resources the way they should if your getting 3.5 mil. My argument is why take 9 yrs to work out how predictable we were and why not wheel and deal earlier.

Progress it is, is it enough? depends on what you've seen of efc and your own attitude to life.
